For women, sleeping around generally isn't a good thing. It never seems to work out well for most women. She usually doesn't get what she claims to want from the sex (a relationship). So even if girls are in it just to fuck, it doesn't sound like they're enjoying or even orgasming from all that fucking and all the attention/validation that goes with it.

The slut also divorces and decouples sex from love and relationships. For the slut, sex ceases being something she enjoys and experiences with someone she loves. It ceases being something special and exclusive to someone who actually has meaning to her, and to her life.

For the promiscuous woman, sex morphs into something she does to feel good about herself. Sex becomes a weapon she wields to assert power. More to the point, sex becomes something the promiscuous woman uses to feel powerful, and to exercise power over men.

And in order to do all those things, sex becomes something she has to do, because that's the only way she can get anything from men she really wants. In turn, that's because access to sex is the only thing she's cultivated that has any value to those men. And it always involves little more than a series of men she doesn't know all that well rubbing their cocks on or in her until they ejaculate.

Sex ceases to be a gift she shares. It instead becomes a tool she uses, a device for manipulation, a sword with which to attack, a shield with which to defend.

For the promiscuous man, sex doesn't affect him in quite the same way, I think. The loser man, whether he's promiscuous or not (there are very few losers who become promiscuous) uses sex in much the same way a slut does. He uses it to feel good about himself and complains about it when his wife doesn't give it to him. Because if she is having sex with him, he has her approval. If she is not, then he's outside her good graces.

For the badass promiscuous man, sex becomes something he enjoys for a time. Almost all of them like sex, the chase, and the hunt culminating in intercourse. But most promiscuous men don't find lengthy, years-long fulfillment or even a lot of enjoyment in meeting and fucking a lot of different women. Most of the time they find that there isn't much challenge in getting a slut to fuck them. They also find that sluts, and chasing sluts, don't offer much in the way of personal satisfaction. They also find that there are very few quality women who don't shit test them within an inch of their lives, who will gladly embrace a first mate post to his captaincy, and who will offer up their femininity and charm without reservation or condition.

They become jaded themselves. But sex doesn't become a tool or a device to these men like it does to women. Sex is a pleasurable side diversion, a fun pursuit, a hobby even, in which these men eventually and gradually lose interest because of its repetitive and predictable nature.

But funnily, they still hold out the possibility of meeting and committing to one woman, and will happily (and successfully) commit. I think this is borne out in the divorce statistics, where it's very clear that women file well over 70% of all divorces.

Promiscuity really damages the women who engage in it, or exacerbates the preexisting damage. For men, promiscuity is something that just doesn't hold long term interest. That's the primary difference.
