Women are attarcted to Looks, and Muscles, and Power, and Wealth, and Social Status.

Only the italicised qualities are hypergamy.

Whatsmore they are not interested in hypergamy for casual fucking when they are just screwing around it's basically all attractiveness and muscles and the rest.

Hypergamy only kicks in when she is assessing you as an LTR candidate. It's not really any good to her in an "After the club fuck" although it can assist there too.

You might be confusing hypergamy with AF/BB strategy a bit. They are separate concepts.

The source that complete dismantles your argument was published by none other the Jezabel itself. I think the article was called 'not enough educated men for educated women' or some such nonsense. Obviously they blamed men for this which is hysterical, but back to the point. Women do not marry down. Hypergamy can't exist without the ability to 'mate up'. But lets get into more detail anyway.

There are two types of hypergamous women. These can also be referred to as 'phases' as it tends to change from the first type to the second as they get older (and revert back to the first type from time to time).

Type one tends to be younger. They seem to be unaware of their own nature. These are the girls the jerks get. The jerks in question are 'confident' acting to mask massive insecurities. These girls tend to be fooled by that because they are young and inexperienced. (AF)

Type two has grown aware of their own nature. They've also grown tired of men who seem confident on the outside, but are insecure as shit on the inside. They will tend to value things in men such as: a big paycheck, a nice car, home ownership. Type two can also grow to resent the position they put themselves in. While they understand it's important to have a man that can provide for her young financially, she harbors a resent that the man is too tired after a long day of work to properly seduce her. This isn't helped by seeing her friends have divorce raped their husbands and made out with the children and enough of the paycheck to be the sole provider for their young. This feels 'empowering' to them because they feel they are 'earning' the now destitute man's money. They also will be driven by entitlement to find that alpha man they couldn't find when they were younger. (BB)

What neither realizes is that true 'alpha-ness' is in 1 in 100 men. 19 in 100 are decent at faking it. The other 80 are losers. Even if they did realize it, it wouldn't make a difference. Feminism has raised them to feel they 'deserve' that 1 in 100, and if they don't get it, that's somehow because of men oppressing her. (Men are oppressive for not liking fat chicks is one example)

This represents the core mechanics of AWALT. I think the confusion comes in that every woman is actually different, just as every man is different. However human nature tends to be very similar person to person. I'd put money on this being the core of many western women's lives.

Now as for males being 'hyper' vs. 'poly'. Let's examine the uncomfortable AMALT of 'there ain't no pussy like new pussy'. Any man who denies this dark portion of their nature, and professes AWALT is a downright hypocrite. Any BP who denies it's existence is a fedora wearing M'lady deceiver. Is it controllable? Of course it is. TRP advocates choosing not to control it. If women will flaunt their primal nature by fucking and divorce raping to the top, TRP responds with never committing to and enjoying the 'fuck freely' nature of Western females. But without the ability to mate up, men are poly.

Obviously this is only how I see the world. I see the world this way because I've let western females walk on my face, apologising to them profusely as they do it. I adopted this world view as self protect after being walked on one too many times. I advocate other men do the same. Even if the anecdotal portions of this post prove untrue, the end result of divorce rape is something no man can defend against. If you put a ring on it, and a baby in it, she can take everything from you and leave you sleeping on a bench in the park. Putting yourself in that position is simply a bad business decision. Consider everything from a business perspective. Men making decisions based on emotion will almost always find ruin. Women get that privilege because men bail them out. Men don't have that safety net.

First, let me make sure I understand the concept of hypergamy. This is the idea that women are more attracted to a man whose social class is higher than hers. Social class is culture specific, and in our culture, it's a handsome man that's older, with a good paying job and a great deal of confidence.

that's correct, to an extent. It's more broadly defined as "better than" than specifically defined by "social status."

If I have that correct, then what I don't understand is when hot nurses are fucking the orderly at the rest home, or an old high school heart throb that connected with her on Facebook and they hook up. How can these be considered hypergamy?

Because what you consider better than in a vacuum isn't what she considered better in the moment. Nobody is saying that women are perfect and/or use the same rubric to make these judgements...just that they are indeed making these judgements.

TRP says that men are polygynous and cheat because they want to have sex with as many women as possible. They say that women are hypergamous because they want the best man they can find and they will cheat if they find a superior man or something like that.

Of course I personally think that men look for the best mate possible too. Hypergamy is just a theory and it's not supported by solid evidence .

Haha. scientifically hypergamy is used to mean women marry up in social class, trading beauty for a wealthier man, but the more gender parity occurs in our society, the less likely women are to marry up and hypergamy has been decreasing.

So, the red pill concept of hypergamy is BS.

There's no science to show women are going to drop relationships in which they are happy to go to some other guy because of money or alphaness or whatever.

Men and women both cheat on their spouses given the right cascade of factors.

Yeah not really. Hypergamy has two things too it. The first part almost no one disagrees with. A woman wants a man that is better than her. That can be in singular or multiple ways. She wants a man that is stronger, richer, older, smarter, higher socially, better sexually, etc. Women will not date a man that is less than she is.

This is one place where men and women differ. Men don't mind dating a woman that is less intelligent or poorer or weaker as long as she fits our vision of attractiveness.

The other aspect of hypergamy is that a woman will always be on the look out for a better deal in terms of partners. Think of it like trading in a car for a better one. A woman will seek out a partner that is in her eyes better than the last one. The weird thing about it is that the other guy being better isn't always obvious. This is also not to be mistaken as the only reason women cheat. Sometimes they just want to fuck an alpha type on the side while keeping their loser around to keep being a resource pool.

Thinking of it as merely moving up on a social aspect is as limiting as saying a rainbow only has the color red. Its a part of it but in no way complete.

My simple understanding is women will always chose a man who is of highest status and if someone with higher status than the previous guy comes along, she will go for him undeer the right circumstances.

The reason many women say they won't do this is usually because a combination of the following:

She will be ridiculed and judged by her social group if she does this

She doesn't think she has a chance with the higher status guy or doesn't know for sure if she can convince him to commit to her

I think when it comes to a LTR women do seem to want what they have or better. They rarely tend to date down and when they do, I've noticed that both men and women look at her like she's stupid.

There was a Vine from a guy talking about a female doctor with no kids and several investments who married a "jobless fuckboy." He ended with "bitch you are dumb."

So yeah women aren't all that encouraged to date down anyway. Even if she could technically support the whole family.

When it comes to "casual flings."

I agree "hypergamy" doesn't seem all that relevant. She's looking for the hot man, just as he is looking for the hot lady. For both parties they're focused on "tingles" and not "lifestyle."

Let me explain to you my concept of hypergamy...

Most women aren't sexually attracted in and of itself to money or intelligence or riches. The typical woman is sexually attracted to superficial traits (appearance/body and mannerisms) which denote the kind of traits which back in the evolutionary past were useful for acquiring material security.

If money itself actually made women horny, gold digging wouldn't be a problem because the women would genuinely love the old rich guys and truly find them attractive.

Social class is indeed an abstract matter so women don't get sexually attracted to it per se. That said, they are attracted (in general) to the kind of body type which had a physical advantage in dominating other males (which was the key to social class back then).

So that's my understanding of hypergamy, at least in its biological form.

There's also a relative dimension to hypergamy. In general, both men and women will take more attractive (however defined) over less attractive sexual partners. But the average man has a higher "sheer primal hunger craving" for sex than the average woman, meaning that women can afford to be pickier with partners (wait around for the best) whilst the man is on average going to "bargain down" to get his rocks off more quickly.

That's how I understand hypergamy, at least. I think my conception of it is more plausible than TRPs.

There is wider definition of hypergamy used in TRP. It's not just monetary based social class. It incorporates SMV fully.

Men can be hypergamous too, but when you take into account optimal sexual strategy, you'll realize that since sex is always higher risk for women, they will always be much more choosy if possible - much more hypergamous. Men will cheat too, but moreso for the sake of sexual variety - to 'spread his seed,' - male sexual strategy.
