I divorced my gamer husband. This is the first Christmas I don’t have to deal with this gamer crap. It’s such a relief.

The craziest part to me is I have a 19 year old son who still lives with me and games and he thinks his father is a loser for always whining for the new systems and games. Even as a younger child he tells me now he would think “who can’t you just play what you have?” When his dad would freak out over a new system.

The teenager is more mature about gaming than his father. It blows my mind. And my son does not want a new system. He thinks it’s ridiculous to buy them when they first come out due to how expensive they are. So at least I did something right with this kid. Thank God he’s not like his father.

If you have to buy a special Christmas gift for your SO, please buy something that actually matters, rather than an expensive nonsense that really does nothing except wasting his time, and being a major point of contention when it is you who will be ignored most of the time.

With that money, I would never invest in a stupid console, I'd rather buy us a nice retreat over the weekend. On a rather serious note, please save your money and stop buying stuff with a depreciating value this year. It has been hard on most people economically and it won't go away next year too.

Lol .. my child's father has been asking for a ps5 for Christmas since the summer time . I told him absolutely not , your mother can buy it for you . Since he has never made an effort to get me a Christmas gift or a birthday gift . He always just brings me to the mall to "pick out what I want " ... Like no you asshole I'd rather you think of something thoughtful and get it for me . Even if you can't wrap a damn present you can put something in a present bag or have your mommy wrap up a gift for me. He never made an effort to get me anything. Only flowers here and there .. so I never really complained. My best come back was saying to him " you have the audacity to ask me to buy you a $400 Playstation.. go ask your mom ." Now the funny thing is his mom is having trouble getting one because she never pre ordered 😂🤣
