Ex-simp here. Basically putting all her needs before your's. I was raised to believe if you treat women right, you'll get what you deserve. Also combine that with hearing many women talk about their "horror stories" of dating terrible men and you got yourself a man whose about get his ass kicked in the dating world.

So yeah, just worrying about the girl too much and not yourself. I was very confused on why my last ex barely fought for me and left so easily...Don't put women on pedestals. I now treat women with the same default respect I give a man even if shes cute or thick as fuck. Anymore respect will have to be earned.

Her wants and needs always supersede yours.

Your wants and needs have to be approved by her first.

You’re a doormat. You become submissive to her in unattractive ways (which differs from person to person)

Kinda similar to how a lot of overly submissive women think and behave towards their overly dominant man. These are the often those relationships where a woman’s friends might say, “why’s she with that guy? He’s treats her so unfairly!”

You think or act in covert contracts - if you do this or that, she is supposed fill her end of the bargain (that neither of you ever discussed because - duh! - you both should just know this, right?) by doing this or that. Also true in the reverse.

Treating a woman like a princess is doing everything that is within your means to provide her with anything she wants and make her happy. The more resources and abilities you have at your disposition the more you do for her.

But a princess is below the King. The king cares and provides for the princess. But he still makes the decisions and he comes first.

I consider that I treat miss moral like a princess. As long as I get to keep my sanity and she does her part of the deal, there isn't anything within my means that I wouldn't do for her.

Putting a woman in a pedestal is putting her above yourself, treating her like a god. You get your value from her, you get your meaning from her. Her needs and wants are above yours. She makes the decisions. There is no arguing.

That would be the case of one of my friends and his wife. It is exactly as I described above. He is nothing more than a tool to serve her. And he will suffer when she leaves him. It is only a matter of time.

Me and the boys will be there to tell him "we told you so" and help him get up in the same way we were there to warn him. But hey, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

To me, it means spoiling her with gifts and affection, courtesy and taking multiple opportunities to show your love for her. Doesn’t mean her partner is some subservient slave who don’t have their own wants and needs ever acknowledged. She still treats him as a human being that’s deserving of love and respect. It doesn’t mean that one side is treated significantly better than the other.

come to visit her in a city 3.5 hours away (she goes to college there) every week she doesn't have to study
take her to nice places and pay
treat her with respect
ask her how she is and show interest in her/and her hobbies/college,etc.
rearrange plans to see her
respect her wishes when it comes to sex
always send a good morning and good night text
never forget out "monthly anniversaries"

you can treat a woman like a princess without putting her on a pedestal. my bf dotes on me a lot and takes care of me, but i'm aware that everything he does is tinged with "im doing this becuz i think ur ineffective or this will be done better if i just do it myself".

for example he wakes me up every morning in a very cute way, but thats because he thinks i'll sleep through the afternoon otherwise. he cooks all my meals for me....because he thinks i won't eat if he doesn't. basically if i could guess his pov its that he doesn't want me doing anything that he thinks he can do better. which whatever i'm fine with that lol

My dad did this for years for my mom: he catered to her every request and enabled so much of her toxic behavior towards the rest of the family. I might be biased, but I don't think idolizing anyone is healthy.

It means putting her above yourself constantly, and doing whatever for her even if it means you sacrificing everything while she sacrifices nothing. Don’t get me wrong, we occasionally can make sacrifices for our SOs, but there needs to be give and take.

I have only met some men who tried to do that with me. It really creeped me out because I'm far from perfect. I really wouldn't want a man that idealises me. I want a man to love me for who I am and who will call me out, if I do something wrong. I want us to bw partners and grow.

So I think it's patronising. Women who expect that are obviously very insecure and messed up. So if they get that kind of attention it doesn't help anyone. Not even them.

It's more of a mindset over actions. When you put a woman on a pedestal you believe they're above you and thus you do whatever you can to keep her. This is different than believing a woman is on the same level as you and you do things to make her happy and please her. Guys that put women on a pedestal only doing things in hopes that she will be content with him

Treating them like a princess is pretty much being caring and very conscious of their needs and wants. You try your best to make them feel, happy loved and care about.

Putting them on a pedestal is basically worshipping them. They can do no wrong in your eyes. They’re like a deity to you.
