Speaking from experience, this is incredibly painful. It is also the major problem in my life right now too, and I don't have any good solutions for it.

I don't insist that others agree with me, but they will not tolerate any dissent from me towards their ideas. I've seen the phrase "rational people can disagree" and think it sound, and yet I've had to put up with multiple adults literally screaming at me, and having full on tantrums in public in response to the phrase "I don't agree/believe that" calmly coming out of my mouth.

I wouldn't care if this was just some people, but it's fucking everyone I know. Everyone. It makes a total mockery of the idea of relationships (at least IMO) because I believe that honesty is the critical element required in them. If I have to universally lie to people to have a relationship with them then as far as I'm concerned that removes the primary benefit of doing so in the first place. It's not friendship or family, it's me lying to gain their utility. How can one have intimacy and treachery co-exist? They are mutually exclusive.

Right now I'm having discussions with my psychologist on this topic. He doesn't have a satisfactory answer (by my standards) to the question "How do you have intimacy in relationships when relationships require outright lies to work?".

As far as I can see, I'm going to have to become a deceiver to make my life work pragmatically. I hate that, but what's the alternative? I'm not an island, I will require the assistance of others at some point (so I cannot access their utility in good faith) and intimacy is entirely off the table (because intimacy and lies are mutually exclusive). As it stands I think I'm going to be stuck paying a psychologist to listen to me whine about life, essentially in the role of an emotional prostitute, because nobody is willing to do that for me by choice.

I believe in true justice, but that isnt possible today due to many things.

I honestly do not know if Kavanaugh is guilty or not and I don't know enough about Ford to say she's lying or not.... basically more information and evidence are needed. But if you look at some comments out there... they are 100% certain Kavanaugh is guilty and Ford is 100% telling the truth.... even though its his words against hers... insufficient evidence.

Your "constitutional rights in regards to being accused of a crime" only apply when you've... y'know... been charged with a crime. This was a guy who already has a lifelong seat on the 2nd highest court in the land interviewing for a promotion to the highest court in the land. The penalty here if we believe his accuser isn't sending him to jail or stripping any of his rights, merely the indignity of only having a lifelong appointment to the second highest court rather then the highest.

That's why all of this "innocent until proven guilty" stuff is a non sequitur in this conversation - there is literally no possible outcome from this where he could be proven guilty because there are no charges and no court.

The burden of proof here shouldn't be "is he guilt of a felony beyond a reasonable doubt". It should be "Is there anyone better for the job?" And if the job of a supreme court justice is to be bipartisan and impartial, Kavanaugh certainly failed that test during his response to Dr. Ford's testimony, whether you believe her testimony or not.

Edit: I don't see how this is even MGTOW-related. Should be removed under rule 8 IMO. It is possible for everything we all know about MGTOW to be true, and for Kavanaugh to be a mean drunk who assaulted a girl back in high school during a blackout. Not sure how the two are even related...
