"People say, 'How can you say such a thing?' but there’s a truth in it, in a modified form. Psychologists will tell you that some women want to be treated with respect, others differently. I tell friends who treat their wives magnificently, and get treated like crap in return, 'Be rougher and you’ll see a different relationship.’ Unfortunately, with people in general, you get more with vinegar than honey."

If you treat someone magnificently and they treat you like crap, why did you stay with them in the first place?

[–]ColdIceZero 58 points58 points58 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The reason is usually because of an inherent feeling of insecurity and poor self image and a desperate need for external emotional validation.

[–]Thinker20 30 points31 points32 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's a textbook abusive relationship. Abusers generally try to cultivate those feelings to keep the victim around. Intentionally making their partner feel insecure and shitty about themselves is their fucked up way of making sure they never try to leave.

[–]ColdIceZero 12 points12 points12 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

From the abuser's perspective, that is accurate. But from the victim's perspective, the victim couldn't be in the position to be a victim in a relationship unless the victim already had insecurities, self esteem issues, and a desperate need for external emotional validation. Aside from a parent-child relationship or long term mentor-mentee relationship, the abuser generally doesn't create those feeling of insecurity in a victim; the abuser merely exploits and capitalizes on the preexisting emotional vulnerabilities of the victim.

[–]Thinker20 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the victim already had insecurities, self esteem issues, and a desperate need for external emotional validation.

Everyone has those to some extent though and if an abuser is manipulative enough he or she can work create those feelings in the victim. But I agree that someone with high self esteem and a system of internal validation initially is much less likely to become a victim and way more likely to just up and leave when confronted with that behavior.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not something that happens overnight. It happens over time and things get complicated with time. Cohabitation/living situation, accumulation and subsequent division of assets and children are some of the biggest factors. And it's not always that easy to just break up with someone you care about, even if they're showing progressively worse character traits.

[–]Senior Endorsed Contributormax_peenor 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, rougher doesn't have to mean crap, but I'll answer anyway.

For men, it is hierarchal. We line ourselves up according to our perceived position with respect to the power of others. The ladder isn't permeate, though men with low confidence tend to have a hard time climbing.

For women, it's a submissive behavior. Men that are willing to tell them what to do, or in fact insist on it, are seen as more powerful as those that just do whatever they say. They will become submissive to and satisfied with such men.

Oh, and ALL women have inherently low "self-esteem." They rank themselves based on which shadows cast upon them, be they from men, friends and society itself. Women that seem to have high self-esteem are just happy with the shadows they are in.

[–]vfr750f 67 points68 points69 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I find in relationships with women, the worse you treat a woman, the better she treats you. Just my experience though. Yours may vary.

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It's so fucking weird, like there's a grand law of conservation of kindness or something. The nicer I am to her, the meaner she is to me.

This is a huge reason the pill is so bitter and so many men resist it. When you care about someone, you want to do nice things for them. But if you don't carefully moderate it with your woman, she turns into a bitch.

I've gone as far as to keep a spreadsheet with an approximate numerical value for nice and mean. When plotted with mean being negative and nice being positive, it makes a disturbingly beautiful mirror image graph.

[–][deleted] 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points26 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nah, it's much more a woman thing. My guy friends don't start treating me like shit after I help them move. If anything, they are nicer.

[–]omonicor 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Could you share an example of such spreadsheet?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can either assign a value to certain behaviors (e.g. nagging is a negative 3/10) or just count how often they occur. The latter is probably more useful.

An interesting result was that while it was hard to tell the shape from limited data, nagging was definitely at least quadratic and maybe exponential.

Also, though I did not take direct data, remaining strong mitigates a lot of it. For example, getting up early with the kids so she can sleep has drastically different results if I talk about how tired I am VS act like I'm invincible and still go to the gym after the kids are asleep (after being up since 4 am).

[–]Flashover-Fighter 16 points17 points18 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I prefer to make women afraid of how much they love me.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

From my experience, that's true for men too. If they don't fear you, they don't respect you. No one. Not even family.

[–]BiggestOfBosses -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

well, I find that to be absolute horse shit but to each their own experiences.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

it depends on the person, you have to have the right type of personality to pull it off. no beta ever treated a SO like shit and got away with it. its all about pulling it off with confidence

[–]BiggestOfBosses 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"youre just not alpha enough" ok, kiddo

also

no beta ever treated a SO like shit and got away with it

well, I have examples of betas treating their SO like shit and getting away with it, but ok.

Sometimes it amazes me how the red pill can change the way you see the world as a whole while there's dudes that still think they're special and someone special will come along for them. Disney mentality I tell you! Lmfao. They're sleeping beauties waiting to be awoken by a harsh reality.

[–]Red_Pill_Raskol 169 points170 points171 points 9 years ago (49 children) | Copy Link

More than electing an atheist or a black or a female President, electing a Red Pilled person will be the true watershed moment for a country.

This election truly is a RP vs BP.

[–]troyv21 42 points43 points44 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I dont think trump is really RP. Money and fame are trumps SMV. Give any dweeb 5 billion and he'll have alpha traits instantly. Money is power. Are they the marks of a true leader though? If hes so RP why is his divorce w/ ivana known as one of the most expensive divorces in history (some reason this article states otherwise)? If hes so RP whys he constantly flip flopping and losing frame? If hes so RP whys he constantly need to throw his net worth/last name everywhere? When did it become alpha AF to approach with my bank statement? Sure he has SOME comments that are traditionalist and anti feminist, but aside from his $ i really aint buyin the claim that hes the physical embodiment of RP.

[–]1KyfhoMyoba 13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Horse hockey. Trump does not flip flop (please give example). Trump maintains frame magnificently. Trump is dominant. Trump is very aggressive with women he desires.

The fact that he also has a lot of money is gravy. His bragging is mostly about how successful (vague - doesn't necessarily mean money) he is at every thing he does, and he can back it up - mostly. (I acknowledge that he would do better if he didn't lead or even mention his money.) Just because he has beta bux in spades doesn't disqualify him from being an alpha.

[–]thekingmaker88 18 points19 points20 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Is getting baited into rants by a tweet considered maintaining frame now? I may have to re-read the sidebar then.

[–]TheRedThrowAwayPill 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yo, you've repeated this same fucking line over and over again on this board.

Who gives a shit? If you haven't noticed, he is not a member of TRP. Correct my Record if I'm wrong.

He doesn't know anything about the side bar nor does he give a fuck.

But we can all agree he's a lot more red pilled/woke/whatever than most candidates of the past 10-15 years easy.

[–]AcrossHallowedGround 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't think he's talking about the way he interacts with women. He flip/flops a lot on political issues.

[–]TheRedThrowAwayPill -4 points-3 points-2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What? No. He just wants to #MAGA. That's all.

[–]TheRedThrowAwayPill 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's RP because people like you can't seem to get out from under his testicles.

God damn, hop off his dick already.

Dude. Let's be real here Trump may be better than Clinton on a lot of issues, but neither of them are quality choices.

[–]TheRedThrowAwayPill 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We voted for George Bush.

Twice.

[–]growingstronk 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At least he will try... and not intentionally fuck the people over like CLinton has been doing for what feels like forever.

There's also the whole idea of setting a precedent that we will not tolerate corruption. Trump can be a great stepping stone.

Wish people cared more about Webb

[+]Sementeries -6 points-5 points-4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He is. I shouldn't even think about having to list reasons why, it's self explanatory.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Trump isn't really RP though. His frame sucks and he is definitely not in shape. But we will have to make do with it >.<

[–]ChasingPaper26 14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They were throwing god damn POLITICAL NUKES at this guy from the DNC, White House, MSM and heads of the RNC.

Dude still standing and flipped it on em in the 2nd Debate.

That's frame.

If it was you in that situation? NOPE

Trump is NOT RP.

He is a natural, born into a millionaire family. He is confident and "alpha" without knowing how and why.

RP is the knowledge, not the act.

[–][deleted] 82 points83 points84 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That quote is him stating the knowledge

[–]bbmc7gm6fm 23 points24 points25 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

RP is both knowledge and the act. Knowledge without action is nothing.

But I agree with you. Trump is confident and has characteristics of an alpha because he's got power, he's got options.

[–]Starfleet_Medical 12 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, so does Elon Musk but he doesn't exhibit alpha behavior at all.

[–]bbmc7gm6fm 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

With Donald enters another factor: He doesn't care what others may think about him, he is more independent than Elon Musk.

[–]cuteman 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This comment is asinine. It doesn't matter why you're awake. Some people are born into the matrix and need to swallow the red pill to wake up. Some people are fortunate enough to be born in Zion and learn the truth at a very young age.

[–]hahayeahthatscool 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hate to fucking break it to you but the greatest alphas in human history have never fucking heard of TRP and were the way they were naturally.

Anyway we are all what time and circumstances make us

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A natural alpha with pre-internalized RP intelligence is 100x better than a self-taught proletary who had wallow his way up half of his life. He's also a better case study. You learn more from his actions, then Rollo's diatribes.

Thos who can, do. Those who can't do, teach.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Again, Trump isn't either alpha or RP. He breaks down like a little bitch publicly when he's losing, resorting to insults and name calling. He's a shitty businessman. He flashes his money to try and get laid. He's been married and divorced more than once. He's not smart enough shut up even when the presidency of the country is at stake.

Not saying Hillary or any other candidate will do better. But looking at him with RP lens, he's broken every rule.

[–]TheRedThrowAwayPill 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He breaks down like a little bitch publicly when he's losing, resorting to insults

Confirmation bias. That's his game.

When you are trying to convince someone you use EMOTION not logic. That's why he knows how to sell.

[–]stawek -3 points-2 points-1 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, if I were American I'd vote for him, but let's face it: the competition in this elections is fucking lame. If we moved him 8 years back to go against Obama he wouldn't get double digits in polls.

[–]PM-ME-YOUR-SEXTAPE -4 points-3 points-2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Its effective, no? Read your 48 laws

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He breaks a bunch of laws. Alt right retards are just on his dick trying to convince more intelligent members that he is RP.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He broke law number 38: think as you like, but behave like others.

[–]bigcitytruth 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He breaks a few laws, go through them again.

[–]sirZofSwagger 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I too will take downvotes. Trump is a Chad at best. I don't think Trump is aware enough to be considered RP.

[–]hahayeahthatscool 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

99% of the guys here would be better off following a Chad around for a couple of years than read any of this shit

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This quote already contradicts your point

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Oh look, someone who doesn't like Trump so the are projecting things onto him. I've never seen that before. /s

[–]stawek -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I like Trump. I would vote for him.

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you think Trump is not RP then you need to stop posting here and go re-read the entire sidebar, maybe a couple times.

[–]1KyfhoMyoba -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

RP is understanding the true nature of female sexuality and sexual strategy. If you listened to him with Billy Bush, I think we can safely conclude that he knows what's up.

[–]frankreyes 20 points21 points22 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The guy says that his wife has the most important job in the world: raising their kids. But people only like to read that he hates women.

Not really. He had a whiny, high-pitched voice and despite winning the medal of honor, his San Juan Hill contribution was heavily massaged and both of his spouses were 2's maybe 3's at best. Both he and cousin Frankie had some very odd tastes in women.

[–]bigcitytruth 22 points23 points24 points 9 years ago* (14 children) | Copy Link

Trump is definitely a natural alpha. His business and interpersonal dealings are usually spot on and have made him come far ahead in life. However, in all honesty, he has a few flaws and I think we need to acknowledge them as things we should avoid.

He constantly breaks law #38 in the 48 laws of power. "Think as you like, but behave like others." He's constantly spilling the beans on how women really are to the press. He talks too much. This is not new, he's been doing this for decades. It's the equivalent of talking about TRP principles in public. It will never do you any good, it can only harm your status. People can't handle the truth, especially TRP truths.

His looks are suspect. He doesn't lift, his skin is fake-tanned and he is fat. His suits look cheap and fit poorly. You'd think the guy could afford a bespoke suit, a personal trainer and a cook. I don't even have to mention the hairdo. Get a stylist. I guarantee if he looked a bit more fit and distinguished like George Clooney or Liam Neeson, people would treat him differently.

His frame gets rattled far too easily in a political context. Trump, for all his alpha traits, has a huge problem with being stoic. Being stoic means standing your ground without it looking like you got rattled. He is unable to do it.

Combined with his tainted SMV by spewing too many truths for regular people to handle, plus his questionable looks, his lack of stoicism makes him look worse to the average person. Compare how women view Trump after simply talking about grabbing a pussy, versus how women constantly forgive Mad Men's Don Draper who literally shoved his fingers up inside a woman he was angry with. Notice how the character fits well in a suit, has slick hair, is silent and stoic, and gets away with a ton of "bad" things.

[–]kevlarut 20 points21 points22 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

His suits fit poorly because he is wearing a bullet-proof vest.

[–]bigcitytruth 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I never heard of bullet-proof sleeves and slacks.

[–]PortiaOnReddit 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]bigcitytruth 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hate to break it to you guys but his suits were badly tailored even before he ran.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hate to break it to you but if you are getting pussy from models for 40 years you wouldn't give a fuck either. Abundance mentality.

[–]ATrashMan -2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]jackandjill22 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That violation of rule 38's intentional. He's catering to those that are pissed from the backlash of PC culture & word policing.

[–]Red_Pill_Raskol 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The thing about law #38 is that if you are going to break it, you have to go all the way. Trump is doing just that so that the rest of us 'normal' RP men don't have to blow our cover. He's Red Pill Jesus for that reason, and I don't give a fuck if he doesn't look like Chad Alphaville.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's also 70... OFC he isn't going to look like some cleaned up, tight suit, chad. If you were fucking supermodels nonstop why would you even bother going the extra mile?

[–]bigcitytruth -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's martyring himself to intentionally lose the presidency for the sake of red pill men? Well I guess I've not heard this conspiracy theory before.

I get what you're saying about the fictional character, and I usually don't like to post about one, but let me tell you the reason why I brought that up. Look up the video of Draper actually grabbing a woman's pussy while threatening her husband (video link), and if you sift through the comments, you'll read blurbs from conflicted feminists saying how hot/sexy the pussy grab was, despite it going against their personal ethics. I saw more than a few comments in there along those lines. For a YouTube video, the myriad of replies were an interesting read, especially the ones dated before Trump's pussy-gate leak.

Oh boy. If this is making the rounds, then he definitely just lost the election.

http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/2q2xdi/48_days_of_power_day_38_think_as_you_like_but/

He could probably surivive 1 killshot, but not all of the ones coming out against him all at once. Scott Adams pointed this out that all you need to do is create a narrative and get one piece of it to stick for all of the rest to follow suit, regardless of any of it is true or not. Combine that with the collusion of the media with Clinton's campaign, and this is may very well be the nail in the coffin. I hope it's not, but unless he's got something up his sleeve next week I think he's done for.

[–]1ShallITinder 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Don't worry, Trump has just started on all of Bill Clinton's past history with women and how Hillary silenced those women.

[–]∞ Mod | TRP Vanguardbsutansalt 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Maybe. We've only got a few weeks to go and the media is not relenting on the Trump tapes and "sexual deviant" narrative. All the women coming out to get paid and making claims against him looks REALLY bad.

[–]1ShallITinder 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think we're to a point where most people see past this shit. CNN is losing viewers and Trump is likely going to do well in the next debate, he was amazing in the last one. The feminazis that hate Trump will likely be in deep blue states, it won't hurt him much in swing states anyways.

[–]∞ Mod | TRP Vanguardbsutansalt 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"You'd be in jail" was THE best soundbite to come out of political debates in DECADES and yet it still saw very little play thanks to the power of the media. He needs her to have a breakdown of some type so she looks callous and bitchy, or perhaps a seizure live on TV to really get the narrative focused on her negativity again, preferably followed up by "You're fired."

The health problems she had and getting tossed into the van like a sack of potatoes helped him out tremendously, so something along the lines of that which is just too good for the media to pass up regardless of how invested they are in her winning.

[–]1ShallITinder 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Believe me, it got plenty of play on the internet. The Donald sub is way more populated than the politics sub is. Not only that, Fox News is standing behind Trump and actually covering the emails while the ratings of Clinton News Network (CNN) have gone down.

Vote and get out there fellow centipede, we will get Trump elected and we will make America great again, that I can tell you! Believe me!

the thing most people don't get on both sides is that it's not really about how you treat the woman, it's about how you treat yourself. If you show you have respect for yourself others will. If you act like a door mat people will walk all over you. If you act like a bully you'll get treated like a bully. balance of respect for yourself and respect for others

People dont like Trump because he doesn't make since and hasn't said a single thing about how he is going to fix America aka Make it Great Again. I'm not shilling for Hillary but even tho she is the most corrupt motherfucker to exist in the modern world at least she has a plan to keep the status quo and make sure working family's dont die off because the rich won't pay there fair share (because of loop holes). Not saying she will make them pay just saying she will keep the status quo. Another thing why would you put a billionaire that admits to abusing the same laws that he accuses Hillary for thats hypocritical as fuck. You know the trade agreements that fucks over basically all Americans he abuses and uses that shit then says he'll bring back jobs there both 2 faced fuckers BUT in drastically different way

[–]Mike662195 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hillary isn't interested in helping the middle class, just giving more handouts to the leeches at the very bottom.

Men will look at it objectively, say "how does this benefit me", and if the answer is "it doesn't", will vote accordingly.

Women, on the other hand, will say "Awwww.... how warm and touching", and will vote their feelz.

[–]OverDragon42 -2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

leeches omg you must not have never been poor in your life because I been in both spectrum upper mild class straight down to poverty levels. To make it quick and easy, dad owned a bar made great money dad did illegal thing and because of that lost his bar (yes I know it was illegal and he got caught and had to face the punishment. I'm not blaming the people for doing there jobs) when the bar went under he lost everything wife divorced him had to move back in with his mom and try to find odd jobs to make ends meet. People who say that the lower class "Leeches off the government aka your taxes" need a fucking reality check big time like how I got 1 when I started reading and applying TRP. And yes I'm not going to lie and say that there aren't people like that who just dont wont a job and instead wants the government to be there provider (mostly women, not really men bc of the social pressures we face to always be on the top of our game) but the majority of people who are dirt poor try to fucking make ends meet no matter what they have to do. Thats why there is so much drug selling and prostitution in poorer areas because "TRY TO MAKE ENDS MEET"

[–]TheRedStoic 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These aren't mutually exclusive. It comes down to informed consent. (Which is usually covert in nature, so implicit consent)

I can respect a girl, i actually respect quite a few women, or more accurately, i respect certain traits and goals in people, not nearly as often the whole person. If course this is not as much as i respect myself but they're still human. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop hate fucking or cave man style sex. I certainly won't stop endearingly calling her my bitch. (not in public, unless it's a very skydiving friends group). We both enjoy that, there's no need for respect to be breached because it's contextual roughness that most women i plate really enjoy. Those reminders of the raw brutality and dominance that get dropped throughout the meet.

It's also alarmingly uncommon. Sets you aside pretty well.

Think about it, the most respect you can show someone is caring about their happiness, if they're happy getting fucked like a slut, or being spat on while you're throat fucking her, don't you kinda... Have an obligation to do so if you claim you care?

Unfortunately, with people in general, you get more with vinegar than honey.

From his perspective, probably. People flock together with their kind. In high school, everyone's forced to mix more or less randomly, but after that, nice folks make bubbles of nice people and exclude the assholes. Not sure what blue pill is, but I'm a pretty darn happy as a beta who avoids jerks of all genders.

Joke's on you! I don't have a girlfriend :'(

But I am dating this super hotty who just divorced a super insecure alpha dude, so that's cool :-) Kind of sucks though because I was hoping to get with this alpha lady who hates alpha men because she's intelligent enough to sees through their acts but she's not the open relationship kind so that's a little sad but I guess it's ok — can't have everything.

But yeah, get with it — being alpha isn't as cool as it used to be in the 90's. Maybe in some industries they still prosper (probably correlated with nepotism), but dark triads folks are filtered out by HR before they get a chance to get any power because they are poisonous to everyone else's productivity in an organization. Welcome to 2016.

Welcome to the deep end of the gene pool. Make sure you have your floaties on and keep your mommy close to you at all times. The alphas bite.

I bet super hottie is probably dating you, letting you pay for her meals and saying something like "Let's take this slow," or "I'm a good girl. I don't want to rush this." Or even "Can we just enjoy where this is going without pressuring ourselves?"

You see, while she says those to you, she's crying while she hate-fucks her ex. His hands are wrapped around her throats and she manages to choke out between the sobs "Please don't stop fucking me. I'm cumming. I'm CUMMING!"

She'll marry you and continue this. With him, with the next guy, the guy after that. You'll be raising her kids to some other guy, seeing a counsellor regularly, upping your Xanax prescription and somehow convincing yourself that you're actually happy. You've probably forgiven her after catching her once or twice and decided it was a good idea to open the doors of the realtionship.

Don't worry, she'll never leave you. She'll never fuck you, but she'll stay with you until she's too used up and finished to care what you really think anyway.

[–]TheRedStoic 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Lol.

Dark triad guys fly through hr.

They're fucking dark triad. They master manipulation and masking.

[+][deleted] -7 points-6 points-5 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]joeyjojosharknado 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I could almost feel sympathy for you regarding the dismal used-and-abused future that so clearly awaits you (and it's also a safe bet you've often played the role of chump already). But as you are willingly marching toward this future I'd have to say you reap what you sow. I just hope you learn from it. Eventually.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh yes, I most certainly have been a chump in more ways than I'll admit to here, and probably will be again, in new ways neither of us can imagine.

I've also played the role of the not-so-nice person who is dating multiple people when none of them want to be in an open relationship but are too attached to tell me to fuck off and stick to it and who has done what a client felt was subpar work and but thought I was no longer getting paid (and then felt quite bad about it when I found out that's what was happening, but, you know, a contract for hours is a contract for hours).

Some of my abusive relationships have been co-abusive, and some of them also times of great personal growth and maturity... not in the traditional sense of "everything was great and I learned and grew so much" way, but in the "lots of stress and trauma that took me years to overcome" way, but still not anything I would do drastically differently if I were to advise myself in the past.

Life is full of all kinds of relationships — can't say any of mine have been much like any of the others, and I think that's kind of cool.

Most CEOs and board of directors members are dark triad or assholish. Tough luck buddy.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

How do you know? Do you know any? I mean, I'm sure they exist -- I see one in particular on TV a lot, but most of the CEO's and board members I've met in person are super nice and personable and self-aware and empathetic and kind.

Some of the younger ones are a little more awkward / introverted, and others a little more idealistic and outgoing. Some are still growing out of complicated families / childhoods and are a bit jerky, but I can only think of one or two (compared to about a dozen super nice ones). And from my experience, most people discuss quite openly how they will have to grow up if they want to keep leadership positions.

Again, I realize that most folks don't realize that this is really basic psychology / management. It's literally the third sentence on wikipedia:

People scoring high on these traits are more likely to commit crimes, cause social distress and create severe problems for an organization, especially if they are in leadership positions

Keeping them from powerful positions is one of the simpler goals of a competent HR organization.

[–]chris_sydney 8 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Alpha jerks do extremely well in any area of life over short AND long term. And you mentioned dark triads in your other post. Dark triad personalities can fake being harmless beta (if needed) yet they will out perform actual betas by a huge margin. And the closer you get to the top of corporate ladder, the more dark triads you have.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In my (relatively limited) experience, not even close: they get into management (for all the wrong reasons), sometimes one or two promotions in, even, and then crash and burn in a fireball of HR reports and inability to control their emotions because politicians at the director level know how to push one's emotional buttons like no other.

There are a few who are founders / small business owners who have a really hard time growing past the point where you need an HR department, and while there's nothing wrong with that, the kinds of people who decide to work for them know exactly what's up.

[–]frankreyes 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

...so be careful to date / marry women who wants to be treated magnificently and with respect and treat you likewise?

You are twisting the argument just to comform with your view. Trump says "guys who treat women magnificently and get treated badly in return", but you are talking abut "women who treat guys magnificently". You are talking about a different group of people.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
