Ones that try to one-up people. Especially when females are present. Experienced redpillers might add some insight(hopefully).

An example : Me,my friend and my female friend were drinking coffee and chatting.Since we all study engineering,topic came to some aeronautical company.Since my dad kinda knows the private assistant of the CEO,me and my female friend were trying to get intern time there(major company).Problem was we missed the application date.

When he heard this,this guy said(in a mocking tone and face) ; I know the CEO so application dates dont matter.

So I know this fella doesn't even know anyone from that company so I said "Fuck my dad then you should've get us the internship."

His smile waned,and my female friend just stared onto ground,smiling.Because she knew he didn't know shit.

Funny thing is,this guy asked for help for finals of CAD/CAM classes two days ago before this happened.Before claiming he was better than me at CAD/CAM a week before the finals :)

The #1 sign I notice is one everyone is familiar with since High School: wanting/needing to tear people down.

The reason? A real Alpha doesn't need to tear down people beneath him because he's already at the top. But being a dick to some "less cool" or smaller dude to show how dope you are is a huge sign of insecurity, just like it was back in HS. Not very Alpha.

fact is most people are fake alphas. you can be born an alpha, raised an alpha or life can make an alpha of you. if you adopt an "alpha mentality" successfully, you are just a smart guy implementing principles that work. real alpha doesn't ever think about him being alpha, he just does what he wants. I think the fake alphas you refer to here are the ones who adopt the principles unsuccessfully and are still insecure deep inside and do things for the wrong reasons. you can pretty much recognize them when they overcompensate. if they fake good, there are some subtle things which point to incogruence

In most cases, you’ll be able to just feel that somethings off about how they portray themselves; it’ll seem like a mask of sorts.

But I know that back when I was in high school I was the fake alpha. I played sports and shit and I was taller than most my peers so that helped me keep the alpha male facade going. Looking back, my most obvious tell was the fact that I constantly got defensive and targeted anyone who I felt was challenging me and trying to shatter my image. Some bitch hinted that I might not be the guy I portrayed myself as? Tear her fucking ego apart, shatter her ass. Some dude tries to check me? Use my size and make a covert threat of what could happen if he kept running his mouth.

But yeah in most cases the guys who fake being an alpha are usually gonna tell you even if they don’t realize they’re doing it.

People who try too hard, alpha this alpha that, he'll tell you you're not alpha for doing this or that shit. If you're really an alpha you won't have to show it all the time, it will be natural.

Also people who act like assholes / "badboys" and take it as an ultimate alpha male behaviour, these people usually are as fragile as they can get. This strategy may work in high school or in your group of Kyle's but in a decent setting people will just get tired of you and not respect you.

Something that has been bugging me for the last year that I've picked up on are guys that reshare old stories and posts on their Instagram. Like they went to Thailand once 5 years ago and have been milking that fucking trip for IG clout ever since.

Same with sharing old stories from partying in clubs. They paid $1000 for a table and bottle girls and got into an exclusive club and keep sharing the videos every 3 months trying to keep their reputation as a party animal up.

Meanwhile these guys live at home with their parents.

A great sign is someone who is very right-wing - hates Muslims, black people, gay people, immigrants, and so on.

Also people who will readily fight someone or simply get physically threatening because someone else disagrees with them or even just "looks at them funny".
