Not sure if this so the best place to write this but it’s been on my mind.

Whenever I hear a specific guy say “Oh you are hot” it doesn’t make me feel anything. Unless the guy is pretty much spilling out his desire for me (which makes me feel like he’s being sincere)

Mainly because I hear guys say this about every woman, especially when I hear a guy say it to me and then say it about another girl who looks NOTHING like me, not even remotely.

I have a taste, a preference, a certain look I like in men... we all do. You’ll notice people tend to go after similar looking people.

So I feel very jaded and kind of annoyed when I hear a guy say “oh you’re hot” and then they say it about a girl who looks 100% opposite of me. It makes me feel like 90% of guys just say it about everyone because they have zero standards and just want anything. And so there is no bar raised.

It’s just “oh you’re hot, and you and you and you.” So I guess that’s why when I hear a guy say I’m attractive, I’m like thinking whatever.

And I feel guys do this constantly, like they have no standards at all.

I’m going to make something up by using a fruit analogy, but it’s like you being a deep red cherry and he turns around and says you’re hot, and then you hear him say that banana is hot. And you’re like uhhh I look nothing like a yellow, long, tall banana. I’m a cherry. I know that’s a weird analogy, but it’s the best I can come up with.

I had to get this off my chest, because it bothers me.
