Yeah my ex was clearly not invested in our relationship and would be extremely rude and cruel if I tried to talk to him about it, so I broke up with him. The only thing that really bothered me about the break up was the question of why he didn’t break up with me first if he didn’t really want to date me? And I realized that I was extrapolating my own reasoning and behavior onto him. If I didn’t want to be with someone I would break up, but for him, it was good enough for now and he couldn’t be inconvenienced to break up.

I see a lot of men on reddit complain about the fact that women imitate divorces and breakups more, but maybe it’s partly because they’re often so self centered they don’t even care enough about someone to break up with them when they should.

It's strictly a matter of: Why not? Why not have a warm body to keep you from being alone, to split bills with, for maintenance s*x, so you can feel superior to single men?

Honestly, it's no friggin loss. All win.

And you know that at the end of the day, you can convert the Forever GF to a Grateful Wife if after a decade you don't find anyone better. You have all the optionality at no cost. In fact, the Forever Girlfriend essentially PAYS the guy in housekeeping/emotional labor and shared bills for THE GUYS optionality.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I know a Forever Girlfriend who is 40 years old and is straight up begging her boyfriend for a ring. Begging. Where did she lose her dignity? And why isn't she spending every free minute of her day tracing its whereabouts so she can get it back???

My ex's close friend proposed to his girlfriend several months back. But apparently he never wants to get married. He literally proposed even though he never intends to walk down the aisle. Forever girlfriends become forever fiances. It's wild out there

Along the same lines: Don't wait for a proposal. Either you are single or married. Would you ever wait on a job offer for months while not applying to anywhere else?

I feel so bad for the ladies waiting to get a proposal and then I hear "we've been together for 11 years and have 2 kids". Girl, it's not happening... If he wanted to, he would have.

I know a couple just like this. Whenever I feel alone as hell (which has honestly been a lot lately due to the pandemic), I think to myself that being alone is much better than being in a long-term relationship with someone who already knows they’re gonna dump me the day they find their dream girl. 💀

I had a guy friend that had a gf....or shall I say still has a gf. He told me many times he didn't see a future with her but didn't want to hurt her. He was waiting for her to break up with him. They are together now like 8 years. I told him time and time again that she would be more hurt to know you aren't 100% invested.

Men will stay with you and use you for money, sex, and emotional support.

They won't leave until they find someone better.

Most men won't break up with a woman even if he isn't attracted her.

One reason for this is that men are energy vampires.

They want to usurp the as much of the feminine essence as they can. That's why the parasites always need a host to feed.

They have not yet discovered ways to take and give energy symbiotically and harmoniously. Women are born with this talent, as we are connected with Mother Earth.
