Broke up with LVM ex because after two serious talks with him and plenty of time...he failed to set boundaries with his ex wife. There were other red flags of course but what I want to discuss is how men dodge working on their problems. Or things they are too lazy or cowardly or weak to deal with.

But I Can jUst Talk to hIm, or we HaD a VErY good Talk about blah blah blah...has he changed? Has he improved? Probably not. Or maybe he did for a week. He knows he’s upset you. He went to school. He works a complicated job. He knows how to take instruction. He’s NOT that dumb, he just cares about himself more than upsetting you.

Men making no improvements after communicating an issue to them is the same as them saying NO. They will nod along or even agree with you but they have no intention to change anything they’re doing.
