I'm 5', whenever a man mentions my height unprovoked it's usually to call me "tiny and adorable", they usually seem to be insecure guys. I guess it makes them feel good to get to stand over someone if you get me, even if they're already tall, or they have like a 'petite' fantasy or something.

I’m 5’3 and I’ve had a mix. Most men, I’ve found, like the height difference because it makes them feel big and “manly.” My partners loved getting asked to get things from the top shelf, carry stuff, open jars, hang shelves, pick me up and carry me, bear hugs, etc.

I do absolutely think there are those types of men that fetishize it. On the other hand, there seems to be no shortage of young women that want to play into the whole young thing, loli or whatever.

Does anyone know any good vetting strategies to weed out creeps? I'm 5'0, Asian and look younger than I actually am, so the dating pool looks a lot like a cesspit to me. I know the dumb fox strategy and general red flags, e.g. "I love (random requirement that completely objectifies you)" or "I love women with (feature you don't have)". I'd never want to date one of those guys who want me around to feel better about their failings.

I agree. I’m 5’0” I had a guy drool over how I’m “so young” (I was 23 at the time, and I have a babyface so I look much younger).

It’s not that you attract those types, but rather that those types are attracted to you. There’s a difference: it is those creeps’ choice to fetishize you. Your body is not a fetish in itself.

I think there are many reasons for men to love tiny women besides fetishizes. Small girls make men feel taller, you are easier to carry, (guys love that). Many men appreciate a petite woman for other healthy reasons. The difference is that these healthy men love YOU first, and your height is a plus. While the creeps love your body/stature only.

Also, there are short men who fetishize tiny women too so I don’t know how seeking out a petite man will solve this.

I'm 5 5 also (which is a good average in the uk), but more so I have a young looking face, and I'm a slim build, if someone would compliment me it's because I'm 'cute' or maybe pretty, rather than 'hot' (I'm 20 and got questioned if I was 16 for example). So now I'm a bit cautious if guys are attracted to me because of some liking young women weird thing.

They always say “you’re so tiny”, “you’re so petite, I love it”, “you’re my favorite body type” (ummmm wtf???). Hmmm I've attracted mostly men on the short side because I'm "less intimidating" (interesting choice of words), and only a few taller men who were really into the size difference. What they had in common was assuming I was a lot younger and being put off I wasn't a teenager. This was regardless of their own height.I guess it's more dangerous when a taller man's involved because he can overpower me more easily and he knows that.

edit: I can confirm there's a lot of being infantilized involved when dating men, and I doubt it would reach that extent if I was taller. I like my height but not its consequences in society. Being a short woman per se is no big deal, but being treated like a child or a prey or both is. Men start off saying you're so beautiful, and then when they're feeling insecure in the relationship they start with the "you're more cute than sexy" or "you're more cute/pretty than beautiful" and their obsession with loli and schoolgirl fetishes comes out more and more often.

Yes I'm 153cm and weigh 43kg. I'm always puzzled by the amount of 6ft men that are into me. I do wonder if me being small is why I also attract so many 50-70 year old scrotes? 5'3. In general, no, I don't feel infantilized. It only felt like a thing when I was both young and short. I don't think the actual age difference has been that relevant for me recently either. Now, part of it is that I'm dating much less but I do think it's also because men are gross and want girls 18-21 so even in my mid-20's the number of creepers declined sharply. Good riddance.

I'm 5'1". I either attract teenage boys or old creeps, with only a few actual normal ones to speak of. The teen boys I understand cause I look mid-20s on a bad day even though I'm almost 40, but I've had multiple men my age gush about how much they loved my height and how young I look. I've gotten physically picked up a lot which is just fucking scary, and one guy even said it turned him on that I was- and I quote- the size of a 12 year old.
