It's expensive because they have MORE money to spend, so the prices for the same quality of product get put up.

You only have to walk down a high street to see that most of the shops cater to women. This can only happen if they're spending more money than men, and that can only happen if they have more to start with.

Higher Education - Since there are fewer scholarships available to men

men earn like 70% of the gdp in the US but women spend 60% of it. There's proof that it is more expensive to be a man because you have to pay for the woman. We need to make both of those stats 50/50. You earn your own money and you spend your own money.

I live in India, For me i am expected to pay all my family debt, get a high paying job, buy/build a new house, take care of my parents, support my younger brothers education. I am just 21. And I am expected to do all this as fast as possible and get married at 27,28. I don't think it's a burden for me, it's like a responsibility that i should do. Above all that i am graduating next month. Still haven't got placed in a company. Stressed and a little depressed.

so wanted to note this because in some of your other replies you mentioned you're alluding to the pink tax so I fear this question is begging the question around whether we think it's correct to neutralize prices specific to general trends in interests between the sexes.

So I'd say for me personally it's not a question of what material thing is more expensive for men individually. A lot of answers I'm seeing pertain to social expectations of men not prices bumps on material things which happen to be of high interest to men statistically speaking.

That's the disconnect for me here. For me personally I'm fine with paying more for things I'm interested in because...well I'm interested in them. For example if the pink tax for face treatments is exacerbated by men who simple don't want face treatment because they're more interested in saving money than having a radiant face, then the disparity eluded to by the pinktax for face treatments does not apply to me because I CHOOSE to have a pricy face treatment.
Additionally this is an example where the gender roles are exacerbated equally rather than just for women...if we're talking about generalizations why would women value having a radiant face more than men? because it's a socialized expectation maybe. Ok so why would men value saving that money more? because it's a socialized expectation for men to have money and be providers maybe.

Now if you look at the general spending habits of men you'll note we just...across the board spend less which makes me think if you're asking about a male equivalent pink tax you're begging the question because...by the way the pink tax is defined it will always show a disparity until men all of a sudden start wanting to spend more money and disregard that potential social underpinning of "you must have money to provide for your family".

So rather the male pinktax equivalent is more like a conceptual stipend I'd say, where men could feel if they go over x amount in spending they are bad men. Thus...I would propose blue stipend is to pink tax as man is to woman in this case.

HOWEVER, if you're asking about coasts for non-material things or just all possible costs that are greater for men that's a different question.

Well, as one example where I live if you have to front a court there is a women’s legal service that provides you with free representation while men either have to represent themselves, or in serious criminal cases rely on a public defender.

The thing is, this service is taxpayer funded as a charity. So women accused of serious crimes (lol as if they actually get charged, in my city a woman deliberately ran down and killed her male partner in her car three years ago and has never been charged with anything) not only has access to a court appointed attorney as men do, she also has access to taxpayer funded representation for any matter.

So in Australia if you are female you can get a free lawyer no matter if you are the respondent. That usually worth about $27,000 on average.

And that’s assuming you only use Women’s Legal Aid once. I’m sure they have frequent fliers. Three times is 100k saved.

I imagine that works out to quite a few containers of shampoo. Or whatever the fuck feminists are whining about these days.
