If feminists will try and protest a male suicide awareness talk in Toronto University for being part of the patriarchy then its to be expected a few keyboard warriors will show up on a free to access forum with a name like this. Best thing to do is just ignore the hate speach from both sides and keep your mind on genuine equality.

The answer to your question is: because we don't ban people for having different opinions (like they do in /r/feminism).

Also, I welcome debate. We make mistakes sometimes, and the army of feminist trolls helps to keep us honest.

I'd like to point out that feminists that come here to learn and engage are welcome, despite the angry people claiming they shouldn't.

We are better than FDS, r/feminism, and TwoX; Because we know our cause is just, we know the ground we stand on is firm, and we should not fear counterpoints, embrace them.

Trolls, however, are not welcome and should be downvoted and reported.

You should be careful about this path. After all a complete insulation from contrary viewpoints and the banishment of all contrary opinions is how they operate.

Claiming feminists who show up here are trolls who must be expunged from the subreddit is a slippery slope.

But that's just my suggestion, make of it what you will.

I'm not against dissenting opinions, but there's a difference between dissenting opinions and unapologetic trolls, like u/ ObviousObservationz, who pretend to be men's rights advocates, but are wolves in sheeps clothing. I have no problems with self declared feminists who come here, even though I disagree with them, but there's a difference between disagreeing and outright trolling.

Have you guys ever spoken to a feminist in person? I have plenty of feminist friends and none of them do the crazy shit I see equated with feminism here. There is a very real disconnect and I'm curious where it comes from.

Exactly. There are people that come here that support women's rights and feminism.

If you are a feminist that supports breaking down barriers that affect women you aren't welcome here.

We are talking about serious male issues and you can't want to help men with their issues AND females with their issues. If you've chosen to support feminism and female issues, you aren't welcome here.

Sure, that means about half the population isn't welcome here...but so be it.
