Twitch admins are all simps

[–]ImportantResults 323 points324 points325 points 5 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Happened to me once in Discord, got banned by an admin because a female member of the server was offended.

[–]RreZo 172 points173 points174 points 5 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Good riddance, don't hangout in those kinds of places

[–]ImportantResults 188 points189 points190 points 5 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

I entered after, with a different account, just to see the aftermath:

Offended woman: oh thank you, perfect timing, so tired of the trolls.

The administrator: No problem, if somebody offends you just call me.

Some SIMP: won't let anybody offend a lady because...

That woman was an attention whore though, extremely fat, uploading free porn of herself and feeding off the (surprisingly high) attention.

I was called out because I told her there were really good ways to beat depression and anxiety, she preemptively took screenshots (to later victimize herself) and made them public because I offended her by not taking her anxiety as something natural and she felt that I wanted to denigrate her by telling her that anxiety is curable. That was the offense.

How stupid is that?

[–]random13980 81 points82 points83 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like your better off not there lol

[–]SkyKobb 55 points56 points57 points 5 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link

extremely fat

victimize herself

they were simping over a below average looks and intelligence woman? yikes. leave and don't look back.

[–]ImportantResults 36 points37 points38 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The important part here is... I was genuinely meaning to help her after she told about her anxiety and depression issues...

It's hard to wrap one's head around motives or simply guess what the hell goes on in their heads!

And in the end, that's how a man trying to be good is treated like a monster.

[–]knightblue4 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like you learned a valuable lesson - never offer to help.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

As a rule women don't vent looking for solutions.

[–]WhatMixedFeelings 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They’d rather complain than solve the problem. Telling.

[–]Moneyshot7319 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Isn’t that the damn truth. Quick little story...I live with friends and the roommate in question is my friend’s younger sister(16 at the time). She had been sending nudes to some random pervert on Snapchat and they threatened to expose her. She came to me crying asking what to do, and every solution I offered her was ignored. She said “I don’t want to be told what I did was wrong, ok? I just need you to tell me everything will be ok.”

[–]Malzun 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like they prefer quantity over quality.

[–]cole-one 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did you mean to say unintelligent? Lol

[–]SkyKobb 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

nice catch, I edited it now

[–]AdikaHUN0328 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is what i was thinking. Like if it was a supermodel or something, than ofcourse there will be men trying to get into her pants. But jeez, these guys are desperate.

[–]MoneyInAMoment 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

don't hangout in those kinds of places

The internet?

[–]RreZo 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah lad. Just don't wander in weird places

[–]Dr_Bunsen_Burns 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But then why are weon reddit?

[–]0mnica 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seeing as how that deer person is involved with Twitch, I am going to have to agree.

[–]RoanHart 17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

While this is true to an extent, the staff member that supported her is a Partnerships Account Manager and she's new to twitch; she was a mixer (a streaming platform that failed and shut down) employee before this. She simply saw a twitch partner visibly upset and expressed empathy towards her not knowing the context of the situation. She later tweeted that she was new and unaware of the situation (her twitter is now locked and all tweets are hidden so I can't link it). It seems she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time..

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's an eyewash. Twitch got caught red handed and are making a scapegoat of their manager.

[–]dumwitxh 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe you shouldn't comment on things you know nothing about, especially from a professional perspective?

[–]CommonChris 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are trash*

[–]ActualDriver8 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's why you can't say simp on Twitch

[–]Seszer-06 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True that

[–]NoMoreMisterMaybe 194 points195 points196 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Money speaks louder. Loads of Twitch's income comes from glorified cam girls raking in money from lonely, horny teens. This has been true since subs, gift subs and especially bits became the predominant way to get money as a streamer (for those curious, there was a brief period where donations were more frequent, which is nowhere near as lucrative for Twitch as taking whatever cut they take from bits).

The only way this will ever backfire, is when the costs become too high for Twitch to defend these people. Unfortunately, the momentum is still way too strong in their favor as of right now. One would need something extremely drastic (encouragement of false accusation? accomplice?) to shift the momentum all the way to the downfall of Twitch. Though HoloLive has at least shown YouTube to be a strong alternative, so Twitch is far from infallible.

[–]FlatTire2005 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don’t know if that would work. Not every time, but sometimes even when it’s proven that a false accusation was made maliciously, the liar receives no comeuppance.

Then you have a lot of people (who don’t know how basic legal procedures work) who think “proven false accusation” and “not enough evidence to convict alleged abuser” are the same thing. They (at least pretend to) worry that women will go to jail for telling the police they were abused.

[–]NoMoreMisterMaybe 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its just an indication as to the overwhelming power Twitch has with which to do this, not an actual call to legal action. More likely is the momentum will slowly change as Twitch continues to mess up more and more. Both with this stuff and other issues like DMCA.

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don’t know if that would work. Not every time, but sometimes even when it’s proven that a false accusation was made maliciously, the liar receives no comeuppance.

Sometimes?

[–]FlatTire2005 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bear in mind I said no comeuppance. The times they do receive it, they get slight comeuppance in the form of one hundred hours of community service or a month in jail or whatever after their victim served several years or a decade. Obviously waaaaay too light, but it is something as opposed to literally nothing. So saying they only sometimes receive no comeuppance is accurate, although expanding on what little justice they do sometimes receive is definitely a good idea.

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bear in mind I said no comeuppance. The times they do receive it,

I still think you have it the wrong way round, usually there is no comeuppance, only rarely are they prosecuted and that for a misdemeanor. And as you say, the judge gives them a light public service sentence and let's serve it at their convenience.

[–][deleted] 403 points404 points405 points 5 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

Of course.
Twitch is largely run by some pathetic men who get riled up by any mention, picture of video of 'female boobs'.

[–]wicknest 77 points78 points79 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Recently they banned me permanently from the platform for having the name "OSomeABeanLoadin". Had it for 8 years prior without any issue. Not a single warning, just instantly banned. Bunch of fragile simps over there.

[–]cmVkZGl0 28 points29 points30 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Twitch turning PC is going to kill the platform because it attracts the opposite kind of people

[–]wicknest 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, at this point I really hope they learn their lesson the hard way, but in reality nothing will change. They're rich, so they feel like they can do whatever they want and don't feel like they need to change anything about themselves. Defying big titties and ass hurts their chances of getting attention from girls.

What's the most upsetting is that neutral people are just going to eventually cave to the PC culture with enough pressure, so it's only going to get worse.

[–]Strange_Bedfellow 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Either they will get woke and go broke, or they will realize that the loudest people against them were never in their market to begin with and stop catering to them.

I would personally just like entertainment with good creators. I don't care what gender/race/whoever they want to sleep with.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]viking_canuck 54 points55 points56 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I'm not assuming anything, I think the phrasing of 'female boobs' is hilarious is all.

It's 2021 bro. You have to be specific. It could be male boobs... 😅

Now That's sexual assault.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which do you prefer?
"Biological female breasts" or the lower 'Chesticles and other slang words'?

[–]Komrade97 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Relax...

[–]karmaman12345 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, pretty sure there’s a reason that simp, incel, and virgin were banned. And it’s probably because all the moderation staff fits into those categories and is mad that people say those words.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah.
It's their own fault for being in those categories.

[–]Strange_Bedfellow 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I mean, they also had a community moderator that believed they were a deer and that voice chat in games was sexist. Twitch isn't exactly the best of us.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seriously? 😆
I would love to have seen that.

[–]Ahielia 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There is a word for this you know...

[–]Quixotic-Recondite 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which is now banned for all twitch streamers (literally disregarding freedom of speech)

[–]silly_little_jingle 100 points101 points102 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

“I’m sorry you had to go through this”...you’re sorry she lied and tried to ruin someone’s livelihood by being a lying piece of shit? Wow

Yeah but, #believe-women

/s

[+]LeviPorton1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

The admin has said that she didn't know the context of the situation when she made that statement.

[–]silly_little_jingle 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I really hope that’s the case. The idea of believing any allegation without any proof allowing women to weaponize allegations is so wrong and is an insult to women/men who are actual assault survivors.

[–]MetroidJunkie 120 points121 points122 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Twitch is run by male feminists. See also: Massive perverts who tend to become predators.

[–]SonOfHibernia 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s always the ones who argue the loudest about something that have something to hide.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't even get why male feminists get mad at that accusation. I mean aren't all men potential rapists according to their ideology? Aren't they included in it aswell?

[–]MetroidJunkie 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably because they know it's true, how many Male Feminists now have been exposed as predators? More than you think become Male Feminists, thinking women will want to go out with them.

[–]OrphanAnthem 53 points54 points55 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

i remember reading about this yesterday. she put out a statement during the whole metoo movement where she went to a apartment with people but stayed after everyone else except for this guy and her left then she followed him into the bathroom to get something but nothing actually happened. it seems from my point of view she was just trying to get attention.

This all is being brought up because she was picked as a captain for a twitch rivals team and picked a bunch of people to be on her team and 3 of them wanted absolutely nothing to do with her after her accusation.

[–]elrd333 23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's satisfying to see most of the community on the game she play turn against her. It's really just Twitch admin beeing a bunch of simps.

[–]C2074579 42 points43 points44 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's a little liar trying to protect her reputation. May as well own that you lied, honey.

[–]IShartedOnce82 44 points45 points46 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As a Twitch streamer, and a man that has been fighting against my ex's false allegations for going on 5 years, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I've shared it in a tweet on the twitland. She should be banned for life.

[–]djc_tech 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She won’t be

[–]yoitsericc 56 points57 points58 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

YourPrincess, formerly GenG Jayden, has been accused of exploiting the #MeToo movement for likes and retweets when she claimed that she was sexually harassed by CLG Tuesday.

That's not exploiting the MeToo movement. That is the MeToo movement.

[–]SF1NX_CZ 17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So that's why they made mentioning Twitch staff having sexual relations with streamers forbidden eh? To hide the truth. Although they more of put the topic in spotlight by doing that.

[–]MeatSim64 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I could write a friggin novel of how much female twitch streamers get away with on there. The term "Double Standards" fits that site to a tee.

[–]DialgoPrima 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m sorry, but the girl that deliberately drove Reckful to take his own life never received any punishment from Twitch, even after she admitted she made her story up?! That is beyond fucked up.

[–]ThSafeForWorkAccount 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

It's honestly pretty straight forward that she is a terrible person to attempt to bankrupt someone's livelihood based on lies regarding serious accusations that actually take away from women with real abuse.

I don't understand the admin's logic unless he didn't hear what she did which is highly unlikely. Simp isn't even the right word. What an enabling piece of shit.

Edit: Turns out "He" is a She. Twitch made a statement about it. The admin was new and was just showing sympathy to a girl being sad on stream without knowing the context.

[–]ByDiavolos 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

tweet is deleted

[–]KingKookus 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Curious how far a girl could get if she just one by one accused twitch staff of things like this at twitch functions. Like every month accuse another person. How far can it go before they banned her? Could she force them to replace everyone?

[–]tenchineuro 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If twitch is anything like the UK, the number seems to be 15.

  • TWISTED LIAR CAGED ‘Attention-seeking’ woman cost taxpayers £900,000 after falsely accusing 15 men of rape after lies exposed

My take on this is that the only reason the UK did anything was because of the cost, the UK is having budget issues.

[–]KingKookus 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While that’s crazy I’m thinking about twitches response. So far it has been believe the woman and kick the guy out but could she get through 15 people all at one company? I’d have to imagine at some point twitch would have to back pedal on believing.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well if a woman says she feels uncomfortable it MUST be true right?😒🖕

I have an idea, Somebody should compile all evidence of Twitch Mods being Simps

[–]LegendaryEmu1 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Twitch has always been extremely lax about their enforcement if the offender makes them money.

But i really wish people would stop just taking a woman's side, just because.

She tried to emotionally manipulate people and ruin a guy's life, because from what it seems like, she was in a huff about not being able to bang him or something.

This is very serious and its never taken seriously. This shit can have serious consequences, like this article points out one guy took his life over that kind of thing(and the accuser continues on through life when their actions resulted in someone dying). Anyone who does this is either too naive or actively malicious when these situations can have lethal consequences.

"I'm sorry you had to go through all of this" is a weird thing to be said by an employee of the platform to the person who caused 'all of this'.

[–]LuckyFoxPL 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To be fair I don't think Reckful killed himself because of the allegation, he had a lot of demons in his head. You could watch a video on him from HealthyGamer, it's very sad but also interesting.

[–]LegendaryEmu1 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe, could have been the straw that broke the camel's back, regardless though, its a very real possibility that someone does end their life over such things, happened many times in the past few years.

[–]Fiotuz 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not the first time btw. Pokimane accused Fedster I believe, got him removed from their group and stuff. Then later we find out she was inviting him to her room and all this other stuff, yet everyone still sides with her. Think she got even more simps because of it.

I gave up on anything to do with Twitch years ago. Hoping the site gets some lawsuits soon, but doubtful since Amazon owns it.

[–]MontyAlmighty 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

when will we unite against false accusations?

[–]JustinCase1982 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Twitch is the biggest joke out there, I never liked it because of what has become, I really enjoyed the Microsoft service that got shut down. But since they didn't have "bob streamers" the platform died.

Are the Deer People back at it again?

so apparently after YourPrincess (the streamer in this article) decided to not pratisipate in the event (twitch rivals tournament) and yes she wasn't kicked out.

twitch thought it will be good idiea to put another false accuser in the twitch rivals tournament.

after being asked about it on stream thay sad "its very sensitive subject and im not gonna talk about it on stream"here the link to the clip and some information :

Seems like a pretty easy case of defamation... depending on the state. I would suggest taking them to court. Twitch would probably settle based on the evidence in the article. Not sure if Princess has deep enough pockets... might be resolved with a a simple public apology.

Cant tell if she genuinely understands and regrets what she did or nah. If she (which i seems she does to some extent) does i hope she learns from this and everyone sorta forgives and forgets.

Whomever makes them, false allegations suck. Does disservice and harm to all involved. Folks need to well learn this, and be very much called out when they pull such crud.

Victims should be heard and believed.

But false accusers should be known for the liars and abusers they are - and yes, false accusations, that's abuse/harassment and generally also libel and/or slander. It's criminal.
So is (in most jurisdictions) filing a false police report, etc. False accusers are lying abusive criminals, and should be know for being the lying abusive criminals they are.

There ain't no two ways about it. And none of that excuse bull. You want folks held accountable? Great, let's do that - you did it (abuse, crime, false allegation, whatever) - you're responsible and accountable for your actions, and the consequences of your actions.

she looks like a sloot

[–]basicslovakguy 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Would it do any good to compile all available evidence, and start a movement to permanently ban that streamer, and force Twitch to take action against mods there ?

[–]DynamicCrab 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't really get the whole idea behind twitch. Is it just female gamers, and men paying them for being female?

[–]Prawn1908 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not at all. It's just a live streaming site focused mostly on gaming. There are unfortunately a few women who use the platform in such a way though. Those people, while popular, aren't by any means the majority of the streamers at all (and also aren't even close to being the most popular streamers by numbers).

Same shit with indiefox and Byron. Disgusting!

[–]MrHupfDohle 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This could have been another indiefoxx - reckful!

[–]sake23456 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And then CLG sells out other men by saying women are mistreated and should come out. Yeah if they want to come out they should go to the police or court instead of ruining someone's reputation on social media.

Lost all this respect for this guy.

Context: This Staff member was newly assigned to look over the girl's chat, saw her sad and wanted to say something nice. She didn't know her at all nor the story of the false allegations. Twitch admins are simps by all means, but the staff in question didn't mean to support this behavior. That's all :)
