Toxic Feminists: Blame it on patriarchy or toxic masculinity. Because feminists are saints and can never be wrong.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The women never get punished for this, which is absolute bullshit.

[–]mrmensplights 224 points225 points226 points 5 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

Your daily reminder for when a feminist brings out the "Only 2% are rape accusations proven false". They are either being disingenuous or they are idiots.

While it's a fact that 2-10% of rape accusations are proven false, it's also a fact that a small percentage of rape accusations are proven true. The overwhelming vast majority of rape accusations are proven neither false nor true due to lack of evidence.

They just omit crucial aspects of the data because full disclosure would see their argument evaporate.

[–]skgody 89 points90 points91 points 5 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Given that the internationally recognised Dunedin study suggests that women are slightly more likely to sexually assault than men and the low rate of prosecution for women then its likely that false reporting by women is particularly high.

[–]Yoshiezibz 23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

I'm unable to find that study which stwtws what you claim (only read two studies though), could you link me to it please?

https://www.stuff.co.nz/timaru-herald/news/81025573/domestic-violence-study-presents-challenging-picture

[–]Yoshiezibz 51 points52 points53 points 5 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Jesus the study says that 10% more women commit these violent acts than men. It's so difficult to talk to some feminists on Reddit as the immediate response to this would be "But men are more violent and will likely cause more damage than women" and at that point I am unsure how to respond.

No matter what evidence or studies I post, they refuse to budge from any points.

[–]skgody 27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Another Harvard study suggests that 70% of domestic violence is women attacking men. Some one else posted some statistics that suggest that 90% of domestic violence is initiated by women.

http://www.newscastmedia.com/domestic-violence.htm

From what I have seen personally. The statistics are even more distorted by prosecuting men that are innocent and particularly not prosecuting women. The legal system is a dishonest system and the people behind it have an agenda. Particularly by brain washing people it’s impossible to get a fair trial as a man and the justice system will milk it for all its worth. I remember a case particularly where one guy got convicted for defending himself against an attack which was initiated by his partner. She was the person who should have been charged and convicted and not him. So in many cases the statistics should be reversed.

The president of Mexico said it was well known that 90% of women’s claims of domestic violence were false.

https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/coronavirus/90-of-womens-calls-for-help-are-false-president-says/

It’s probably not isolated to Mexico. The problem is the police will prosecute so it makes a statistic. And many people whole heartedly believe they are protecting women from men. And a number of people who make their money from this bias who particular don’t want the problem fixed. By removing accountability from the real perpetrators and calling them the victims then the problem continues unabated for these people to earn a living which in turn continues to propagate a lie.

[–]Doc-Engineer -5 points-4 points-3 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Dude quit fucking lying through your teeth, AND READ YOUR LINKS BEFORE YOU POST THEM!!!:

López Obrador said that the 90% figure doesn’t just apply to calls related to violence against women but also to calls made to the Mexico City metro that claim that the tracks have been sabotaged or there is a bomb in the system.

So he claimed (without any evidence to back it) that 90% of ALL EMERGENCY CALLS are known to be false. Not "just calls for domestic violence against women", that is a falsehood.

So is the 70% figure copy/pasted above. I know you like to copy statistics straight from articles without actually reading them, but it says right there in the link "70% of NON-RECIPROCAL domestic violence", also going on to say that about half of all domestic violence IS reciprocal.

[–]skgody 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You are telling lies here.

[–]Doc-Engineer -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I copy/pasted (I know you like this) straight from your links, dumbass. It's a quote that you provided.

[–]skgody 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You are not making any sense.

[–]Other_Lingonberry234 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did you read the actual study? Or just the linked article? I wonder bc the linked article provided no data or analysis whatsoever. It's hard to take it seriously until I can see the scientific methodology. I'm not saying it is factually incorrect (because I can't see the relevant information), but this article sure isn't 'evidence' of anything on its own. That might be part of your issue - you aren't providing compelling sources if you want to change people's viewpoints.

Also - just to clarify - the article did not say "more likely to sexually assault". The instances cited ranged from slapping to sexual assault. I hope we can all agree that 'slapping' is in a different category from a sexual assault. Not defending slapping, but let's at least be clear about what the article actually said.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"But men are more violent and will likely cause more damage than women" and at that point I am unsure how to respond.

I'd respond "Oh, so suddenly Men and Women are different now? All this time, you led me to believe it was all a social construct".

[–]Sophisticated_Sloth 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, just let it go my man. This is a battle you will never win on a ground level. Some (most) people are more than willing to entirely ignore facts and studies if they go against their personal narrative, and they’ll keep coming up with reasons why you’re wrong. You can’t argue with these people on a rational and logical level, because they’re not interested in having that kind of discussion. They’ll spin your words into something that you didn’t say and then you have to defend that instead of staying on topic. They’ll change the subject true to the definition of “whataboutism” and keep your head spinning until you no longer have any idea what you were discussing in the first place. 18 times out of 20 it’s an entirely lost cause from the beginning and it’s a waste of your energy. You can try and talk reason and fact, and some people will listen and consider; those you can keep talking to. As for the rest of them: ignore them and move on with your life. They’re dead set on being wrong if it makes them feel in control and you can never win against that.

[–]jostler57 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Certainly interesting! I wonder if there are similar studies for other countries, as well.

Also, the question at the end whether the women are responding to initial violence from males can have the opposite question asked about male DV statistics.

[–]skgody 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

As far as I know it is thought to be statistically relevant to most of the developed world where the dominate ethnicity is of European decent. It is the most comprehensive study so far anywhere in the world. There is mention of another less comprehensive study in the comments on the article page.

The question at the end was typical of woman’s refuge who say men are responsible for 85% to 95% of domestic violence in New Zealand and one child is killed every 5 weeks. They are misleading people. Firstly women kill the most children in New Zealand but by saying it’s men at the beginning of the statement it seems to suggest men are beating up women and killing children. So obviously the person when faced with a real study that suggests women are violent towards men in greater numbers than they propose are trying to say it’s men’s fault. When questioned about women killing more children the women’s refuge said it’s because women have the children more. So really it’s a valid point that perhaps men are responding to initial violence from women.

[+]Appropriate-Ad23242 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

But if you start to talk about how a small percentage of rape accusations are proven true, then it's likely they'll blame the legal system. Saying its against them and that too much evidence is needed to prosecute.

[–]DevilishRogue 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fortunately that can easily be debunked by looking at successful appeals which demonstrate that many convictions have no evidence beyond one party's say so (and sometimes not even that e.g. Ched Evans).

[–]NordicFimbulwinter 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Technically those proven to be false, occur exanctly as often as when it’s proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be true, each happening roughly 10% of time, while 80% can’t be proven in court.

Sexual assault, or rape, without clear evidence (film or DNA) is notoriously difficult to prove/convict.

So by statistical logic, there’s little difference between saying “believe all women” and “all woman are liars”. They’re both equally retarded mantras.

[–]sno_cone_thehomeloan 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not only that, but more importantly, it literally doesn’t matter whether they’re proven true, 9 times out of 10 the man’s life will still be ruined anyway.

[–]mrmensplights 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Very good point.

[–]Series_of_Flaps 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah that’s misleading as fuck. Without your clarification, I would have thought it meant 98% convicted.

[–]jack-earnest 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To a tune of 98% of all rape cases brought forward do not end in conviction (UK 2020) and those are the ones brought forward, a lot of victims of rape will not press charges at all.

[–]EdenSteden22 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Source?

[–]mrmensplights 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The statement requires two pieces of data. The first is the accusations which are proven "false", the second is the accusations that are proven "true". Subtract those percentages from 100 and you get the number of rape accusations where we simply don't know one way or the other.

Here's some sources on false accusations:

  • False Allegations of Sexual Assualt: An Analysis of Ten Years of Reported Cases
  • Unfounded Sexual Assaults in Canada, 2017
  • The Cambridge Law Journal: FALSE ALLEGATIONS OF RAPE
  • Wikipedia on False accusations

Here are some sources on rape conviction rates:

  • UK Center for Research on Violence Against Women
  • Why do so few rapes result in a conviction?
  • Wikipedia page on rape statistics for more

I found this video, which references the first study I cited above, to be a shareable analysis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8zSDvaYrRw

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 202 points203 points204 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Note that he 'pleaded guilty', that too at his mother's insisting!

This is a reminder that never plead guilty to a crime that you have not committed. Let them prove it.

Often public prosecutors try to advertise a plea deal, to lessen their workload of actually fighting the case.

DO NOT BUY INTO THEIR ARGUMENT. If you are offered a plea deal, ask for a second opinion. That will save a lot of headache.

[–]SuperiorFarter 42 points43 points44 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All they need to do to prove it is say "because she said so"

[–]SiliconeGiant 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Easy to say and you're not wrong but 95% of cases end in a plea, because they convince the person that if they go to trial they will get 30 years, or life, or whatever.

You think you'd never ever admit to something you didn't do, but it's the rare man who won't shite at the thought of spending 30 years in prison, and instead take 2 or 3 when you could be out in 1/2 the time with good behavior.

It's a fucked up flaw in the system imo, it's there because it's the only way they've come up with to keep the system from being clogged to the point of being unusable. We need a new system.

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree, but please deals of such proportions are often offered when prosecution know they hv little evidence to prove the case. (2-3 vs 30 years).

You are more likely to be acquitted anyways.

It's generally defense lawyers who scare the accused into accepting the deal.

I know it's very easy to say, nd in the prison, with no one else to talk to, you may get tempted to accept such deals.

If people are made aware of such repercussions, they will handle it better than, and fight it out. Instead of giving into such fraudulent plea deals.

[–]Other_Lingonberry234 58 points59 points60 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

This is absolutely terrible! I'm sure the mother insisted only because she was afraid (article said it was to avoid 20(!!) years in prison, but I believe you are right. People should maintain their innocence when they are, in fact, innocent! It says her case is still pending.

I hope you know you have many feminists as allies and no, we don't think every other feminist or woman is a 'saint' and always right. There are tons of feminist assholes.

[–]masterdarthrevan 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for this. We appreciate you and all our sister allies. My grandmother and my aunts don't believe in modern feminism either. Again thank you for being there for us.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I hope you know you have many feminists as allies and no, we don't think every other feminist or woman is a 'saint' and always right. There are tons of feminist assholes.

It's a shame those same feminist assholes were given an ear by the law and domestic violence industry, leading to the world we live in now.

[–]Other_Lingonberry234 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I do wish platforms were never given to people who distort things selfishly, but bc you brought up domestic violence let's at least recognize there really WAS a legitimate problem requiring attention. The system absolutely gets manipulated and abused but it's not ok to pretend it doesn't help people too or that speaking out against DV in and of itself is a problem.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm glad we've moved into this topic because this is the primary reason why feminism is loathed by the majority here, including me.

Let's talk about tackling issues. When Helen Pence, a feminist Doctor, conceived The Duluth Model, it was all based off of a faulty study and equally questionable results that excluded male victims entirely out of the picture. And SHE KNEW her theories couldn't stand up to scrutiny.

And no, I don't accept her apology or her disowning the model based on her refusal to take full responsibility for what her Model had wrought. Decades later and many male victims thrown under the bus will never absolve her of her sin. I wouldn't even urinate on her if she were on fire as she contributed to a culture that refuses to recognize women as having the potential to do bad as well as good like any human being.

So here we males are. Dealing with the refuse from this Duluth Model, which still hasn't been abolished to this day. Call up a domestic violence hotline, very slim chance you'll be referred to a program that ISN'T for violent men only. Inform the police, well, better be prepared to say good-bye to your rights because, if you so happen to reside in a state referencing The Duluth Model, they are not recognized since police are required to arrest the primary abuser/most dangerous. I,e, MEN. Including male victims.

All because there was a legitimate problem requiring attention. Only invested in female victims. Male victims were given the shaft long before The Duluth Model reminded them of just how little their experiences matter as testimony from older male victims in their 50s and 60s can attest.

It's not ok to pretend it doesn't help

You might want to frequent this thread more often and listen to male victims. You'll discover the system has been, and continues to be, woefully inadequate for their needs. Provided their needs are recognized in the first place if they are lucky.

[–]Other_Lingonberry234 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll admit I'm pretty new to reddit/ social media in general ... me joining this group is specifically to listen (and sometimes offer my point of view, granted I am only one person trying to figure it out like everybody else).

I do think it's likely that men and women's needs differ when it comes to domestic violence. Women were frequently seen as property - domestic violence a private household matter. Frankly, that aspect is/ was fairly unique to women.

I also don't see why improving the system for men has to involve pretending society hasn't historically favoured them. The system was bad for BOTH men and women long before the feminists came along. The feminists were simply standing up for themselves because the sex divide is so stupid.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do think it's likely that men and women's needs differ when it comes to domestic violence. Women were frequently seen as property

Male and female victims suffer and whatever happened in the past is irrelevant. I urge you to join the present day or we have nothing to talk about because, frankly, I don't want to hear about women being seen as property when I as a male survivor of cruel abuse by them was seen as a target while having to deal with this "Women are Wonderful" mentality permeating in society and giving my abusers cover.

I also don't see why improving the system for men has to involve pretending society hasn't historically favoured them.

So you assume male victims were favored? This is another reason why feminism fails spectacularly. You can't resist looking at men as a monolith, can't you? Always have to bring up the myth that every man, including those at the bottom rung, were favored by the system when the contrary is clear enough.

The feminists were simply standing up for themselves because the sex divide is so stupid.

While looking the other way as feminist like Helen Pence made things worse, widening the divide.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To add on this if your ever arrested for anything, say nothing and lawyer up.

To many police forces have a history of "liking someone for it" and building the evidence around them to fit the case rather than let the evidence speak for it self.

"The mentor also said Parmeter’s grandmother had been told about the lie, but when she told Parmeter’s social worker about it, that worker told them not to do anything about it."

That social worker needs to be identified and charged with perverting the course of justice.

[–]PeonSupreme[S] 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Social work is such a feminist domain.

[–]N00B5L4Y3R69 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have known people who study social work, and oh boy have I ever seen so many die-hard feminists, communists and socialists in any other place. Just based on gender they are more than 90% women, so they are bound to ignore the male perspective.

[–]PeonSupreme[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m in the library field, which is rapidly approaching that saturation point. There is still somewhat of a gender balance in subfields like tech services and records management, but I have been on calls about the driest subjects imaginable, and feminism has still reared its ugly head.

[–]TryToDoGoodTA 62 points63 points64 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I have been in this hotseat in regard to a child (I was 18, accuser 13) and due to 'wrong place wrong time' and her covering for who she thought was her boyfriend (20 year old) named me. There was enough evidence I was charged. Public defender advices me to take a plea despite me protesting innocence.

My step-dad hire a private investigator and the most 'prestigious' criminal law defendants in the state to represent me because even though most of my own family thought I was guilty, he believed my word. It wasn't cheap.

Anyhow, the PI did some digging and observing and found a guy that did look like regularly visited her house when she was the only one home. Allegation was made when her mum got half a look of the guy fleeing and she called the police when the girl (who could not be named) said it was me.

The horrible thing is even though I would say I was proved innocent be the guy being successfully prosecuted and my trial dismissed through motion, a lot of parent of younger girls are the school I went to still looked at me as a pariah and requested no 'group activities' like sports could I play when their daughter was playing etc.

The school were bad at first, but once I was exonerated the school did try to make me less of a pariah and didn't cave or exclude me at all (the girl that went to attached school left the school due to the drama as a lot of guys hated her) and I was still allowed play sports, coach the attached elementary school soccer team etc., but at the awards night when I got an award for leadership the clapping was much more sullen than for winners of other awards... (and this was 1 1/2 years later, as I graduated at the end of 19 due to doing school part time for my last year)... Mud sticks, no matter how clean you think you are...

[–]AdlJamie 27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry you had to go through that mate.

[–]TryToDoGoodTA 24 points25 points26 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm lucky that despite not getting any custody, my step dad (who I had bonded with as my dad) always had my back, even times when I've fucked up due to young male bravado or (stupidity) he was the one person I knew I could call 24/7, and if needed he would hop on the next plane to come and help me out. Now I am married and have been for a long time, so I have two sources of support, but when he retired he moved to be near me (he's closer to me than his bio son, who is much my like my mother).

He also never berates me when I've made a mistake, just makes a comment a long the lines of "well, I guess you learnt that lesson a hard way..." even if I'd broken something expensive. Top bloke. Unlike my real Dad, who I don't know his name or anything about (whether it was an affair or I was raped, given my non-bio dad was married to bio mum at time of conception...)

[–]AdlJamie 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Everybody needs a dad like that. I'm glad he has always been there for you.

[–]TryToDoGoodTA 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One of my gripes with the family court system was at 13/ when they separated but despite him being the only Dad I knew, the person who took me to school and picked me up except when he was away working, the person who on weekends took me fishing and taught me stuff, and the one to help me with my homework etc. because he wasn't my bio Dad no visitation at all, let alone custody. I made it 100% clear to the judge how abusive my mum and her hangers-on were but it didn't matter that I was living in a 3 bedroom house with ~12 people... and my step dad would have been living in a 3 bedroom house just with me... well, I didn't get a say.

I still informally met up with him, then mum weaponised it taking an order out that made it he couldn't see me even if I visited (so we just met up not at his house but ffs)...

Certainly a lot of men aren't great parents, and a lot of people are less 'attached' to children that aren't biologically their child... but this was like the super opposite in this case...

This is exactly why I don’t buy it when feminists say “oh false accusations aren’t a problem, only 2% get proven true you know”. Problem is, people don’t give a fuck how fake they are. Once that news gets out, plenty of people will never look at them the same and they can still lose jobs, friends etc. So disingenuous when they use that line.

And your step-dad probably had to pay about 10,000 in PI and legal costs.

$40,000... there was a big scramble to try and get any exhonerating evidence before it went to trial, as there would be another "dragged through the newspaper" debacle then. A lot of the leads were dead ends, and so a lot of costs were racked up before the survellance look promising, and still had them working until the very moment the motion to dismiss was passed in case we needed 'more'. Maybe he could have spent $27,500? But as I'm sure you know, a sex offender loses any chance of a 'normal' life they have.

When you are in a town/city of 70,000 it's not small, but small enough that everyone knows someone who knows someone that knows you kind of thing. Going to trial would be hell. It was the reason I graduated at 19... :-/

I still chose to leave the city after high school in a major part as a) I had planned on studying a subject that wasn't taught well at my cities uni and b) i wanted to get away from everything, including friends. Some friends that had meant well (without asking me) gave me a false alibi (they were driving past and saw me at X location but CCTV showed that was wrong) which really looked bad. As I said, I would have thought with the evidence I was probably guilty...

Girls family was 'judgement proof' even if there was a case... Dad (technically step but I'm sick of typing it because he's the only dad I know and more of a Dad than my unknown real dad) didn't care though, even though he had to use a lot of the inheritance from his father's estate, all he cared about was I got fairest possible trial. Pretty big call as all he had was my word... for all he knew I was guilty... that's the kind of trust that has meant I feel I can always be honest with him and even if my story sounds unbelievable, he will believe me...

Your step dad sounds like a cool dude.

Kid went through pure hell and the newspaper initially described it as troubling for his life.

Dropped out of school, branded as a predator, jail time, more jail time, suicide...I can't even imagine where he is now. I hope he's ok.

This story makes me want to round up those responsible and have them publicly pay the price.

"Exonerated" : too late, the psychological and social damges are done already.

As Francis Bacon said : audacter calumniare, semper aliquid haeret (slander boldly, something always sticks).

Yeah, exonerated or not, his life is always going to be onerous.

She ruined his life

What really pissed me off is how no one thought it was suspicious when she was refused to have her vagina checked if she was indeed raped.

[–]Reddit1984Censorship 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]bigred9310 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This REALLY PISSES ME OFF SHE LIED AND HE’S STILL TREATED LIKE A SEX OFFENDER.

[–]Battleship1239 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Well, I had just had to google what exonerated means cuz that is some fancy talk

(It basically means acquitted, stupid English and it's Synonyms)

I'm done, world is gonna fucking collapse before Feminists are satisfied with the toll on men.

[–]PeonSupreme[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You and me both. As long as society still thinks of the victimizers as victims, I don’t see much point in participating in it anymore.

[–]genkernels 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It basically means acquitted

Technically speaking I think (I absolutely don't know) those terms don't have much overlap. Acquitted means you're never convicted, exonerated means your conviction is overturned.

[–]Battleship1239 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

oh, okay, that makes sense

[–]skgody 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He was lucky, how many men go to jail that were innocent and the accuser never tells the truth.

[–]THE_WHITE_KNlGHT 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, she jjst ruined the rest of his life forever now. Fucking great😒

The mentor also said Parmeter’s grandmother had been told about the lie, but when she told Parmeter’s social worker about it, that worker told them not to do anything about it.

this social worker should be fired and criminally prosecuted as an accessory after the fact for a false accusation. Confidentiality does not extend to advising people on how to get away with crimes.

The instant she said "don't report this" she was engaging in a felony criminal conspiracy.

[–]PeonSupreme[S] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A lot of social workers are shockingly antisocial IMO. I think the whole profession is hopelessly corrupt.

I'm on the autism spectrum; and people wonder I get paranoid at times. Never been falsely accused of rape but had a girl accuse me of harassment in school because I complimented her.

[–]novhaku 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's always great when your body language gets misread and a friend throws a fit, putting 10 people against you, because she misinterpreted a "hello-kiss on the cheek" (which is the norm in my country) as you trying to french-kiss her (don't ask me how she made this stretch despite the weird body language, because I have no idea neither).

Let alone other accusations. False accusations are great when people just project their weird ideas on things they just don't understand.

I've also had the "harassment" accusation for doing the typical autistic empty stare (at the empty sky in this situation) in class when I was way younger and less "adapted"... just for the woman in front of the window, who wasn't even in my direct line of vision in the first place, to throw a fit because of harassment because of "staring". Nice. When you're autistic, even very high-functioning, it's not exactly being paranoid. People tend to project whatever crap that is going on in their head, even if it makes NO SENSE AT ALL LOGICALLY, on anything they don't understand. And too bad to be you if the accuser is a woman, she'll definitely be believed over you, who is weird anyway.

"South Canterbury Women's Refuge manager Dawn Rangi-Smith had not seen the research but wanted to know if it included the context of the abuse and whether women who committed violent acts were reacting to abuse from men."

The problem with this attitude is the same is considered irrelevant for men.
