Fight for equality and this isn't a problem.

When you fight for equity instead of equality, that's where you have issues. Because if you don't agree that equality is equitable, then you are fighting non-equality biased in some direction to correct issues, real or perceived.

This is true for racial issues, socio-economic issues, gender issues, etc.

And then on a continuation of that, when you identify an inequitable situation you have to follow through. Take for example physical fitness tests for males versus females for militaries worldwide. Women are given more time to compete the test with less weight. This is because an inequity was identified that women are in general less strong and less physically tough-built than men. To be "fair" (equitable) the test could not be equal. That's fine but then you must also recognise that gender and physical fitness matters to on field readiness. When you're running in the desert being shot at, the enemy doesn't give the women more time or shoot at them less often to make it more equitable. Therefore the equitable compensation becomes a liability not only for themselves but for the men that are their peers.

Keep in mind that generalities are what inequities are based off of. There are some super strong women and super weak men. There are ninja fighting women that will kick the ass of most men. But those are outliers and that is not what you write policy on.

Recognize that rights come with responsibility.

The way in which men are oppressed today is by enforcing responsibility without giving them any rights eg. "my body my choice" but he has to pay he has no choice.

Whenever you see a gendered statistic or idea or policy, always ask about the other side and how it affects them. For example, if you make a program to help women, ask yourself, is there a program that helps men? Likewise, if you make a program to help men, ask yourself, is there a program that helps women?

Gender equality isn't about keeping my rights and oppressing other people. It's about making it fair. Think about the unique problems women have and how we can fix them, and how those solutions will affect men. Likewise, think about the unique problems women have and how we can fix them, and how those solutions will affect men. We both have unique problems that need to be fixed, but right now, only one side has the microphone.

In the United States, today, women have every single right that men have, however, there are several rights women have that men do not have. Finances are often spent in such a manner that most of the money is spent on helping women and girls but we ignore men and boys who are in the same position. Even some things, like rape statistics, have created problems. According to the CDC, 91% of rape statistics are women. Of course, that sounds horrible, until you read the legal definition of rape and realize that rape is defined as "penetration of the victim without consent". The problem with that is that if a man gets drugged and wakes up with a woman on top of him, it's not rape. In CDC statistics, it's under "forced to penetrate", which, when you compare the raw numbers, have an almost identical rate of victimization, but we still think of rape as a gendered problem with things like "teach men not to rape" when we know for a fact that it is not a gendered problem (at least not anymore).

My primary issue with feminism is that it fights for women's rights while claiming to fight for everyone. I don't care that the movement fights for women's rights, I think it's a good thing to have a group of movement that represents what you believe. I also don't expect them to fight for everyone. Every organization is going to have their focus and their agenda, and that's okay, You don't see the ACLU out there fighting for Asians, because that's not their focus. The problem I do have with feminism is that: one, it claims to fight for everyone, when it doesn't, and two, it often silences anybody who raises points about issues men face. If there's a discussion about, to use the same example, rape, most of the time it often stems around women because societally that's how we see it. When somebody says "men get raped, too", they're not trying to remove from your conversation, they're trying to add an entire gender to that conversation that's being ignored.

If you get the chance to, there's a film called "The Red Pill" by Cassie Jaye. It's very good and it is not anti-feminism at all. The original creator of it was actually a feminist who began to make the film to expose the MRA movement as sexist and misogynist, and, as a result of making that film, she actually dropped the label of feminist (worth noting she is also not an MRA). Do not look up anything about the film, there's been a lot of false information roaming in smear campaigns against it. Just watch it, fact-check it, and form your own opinions of it. If you don't have the time, I highly recommend watching her Ted Talk and (even shorter) an interview from the film on the Boko Haram kidnappings. That interview is, IMO, the most important interview in the film, and it wasn't until that point in the film that I went "Oh, this is a problem", and I actually had to rewatch a good portion of the film again because I realized I wasn't fully understanding what these people were saying due to my own biases.

Start calling yourself an "anti-sexist" and oppose the term feminism on the grounds of it being intriniscally sexist. Oppose all explicit gender discrimination and treat sexism at face value.

If the issue in question is one where you actually get the bad end of things, assert as normal, until equality is reached

If the issue is one that is roughly even or you are unsure of the issue, leave the matter alone or handle it in specific regard to your individual circumstances

If the issue is one where women are favored, help us gain the traction needed to fix it
