So issuing his woman an ultimatum - saying this is not what he signed up for - was wrong for Blue Pillers.

I guess the only acceptable answer for them would be for him to continuously beg for sex have more earnest heartfelt conversations about his needs with her...

Resulting in him not ever getting any sex her really trying to understand his point of view, but ultimately him just not understanding her...

Have her eventually lose total respect for him See them eventually and unfortunately grow apart...

Her dump him after she gets bored with the relationship Sadly see them separate...

Have him write her a check every month for 16+ years See him follow through with his responsibilities as a father...

Have her jump back on the cock carousel seek out a more meaningful relationship and find her true love with someone else...

I guess the only acceptable answer for them would be for him to continuously beg for sex have more earnest heartfelt conversations about his needs with her...

That's what BluePillers in that thread claims the guy should have done. One user actually wrote: "It sounds from the post like he whined at her about sex a few times, but never once bothered to ask what was going on."

I don't think they actually cared enough to read that that is exactly what the guy did.

From the guy's post:

It's important to mention that throughout the drought, I had an ungodly amount of sappy one on one conversations about why she didn't want it. What I could do to make her want it. Blah blah blah. Countless hours of talking, massaging, and HOPING something would become of my efforts. What do you think became of it? Jack shit.

He had conversations with her and went with a year-long drought. He had multiple opportunities to cheat throughout the year and didn't take one. By any other standards, he could have became a monk with the level of restraint he showed.

The BPers shouldn't have issue with him, but I think they are just too focused on hating everything coming from this subreddit.

This just showed that what the BPers recommend in this case wouldn't have worked. He actually did exactly what they would have done. It didn't get him any sex even in a monogamous marriage.

So he tried something different, it worked, and now they are pissed off that it worked.

I think this hits fairly close to where a large amount of TBP is coming from. They are not stupid people, unthinking or ignorant. Nor, even, are most of them mannish feminists I think. I believe many of them are so-called "normal" women and men, people for whom the Red Pill reality literally hurts. They want, they desperately yearn for it to be true that being nice and supplicating would get you what you want, they shudder at the thought of being rude or anything else other than polite being a successful way to behave. It's cognitive dissonance, not outright hate, and I really pity them more than dislike them.

[–]_MrMan_ 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You know there is a middle way. It's not like being red pill means you can't be polite or nice. You just have to add a nice topping of dominance and assertiveness into the mix when it calls for it. Therapy and "honest communication" isn't going to solve every problem like they think.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would think this is an obvious truth, and nothing Cav-Medic says implies that one should be full-stereotypical-redpill all the time. Obviously you can't be dominant and assertive at every situation, that would make you an uber-douche. Redpill knowledge simply introduces tools to your intellectual skillset that have been hidden from you by society. You still have to use your wisdom to know when to use what tool.

Talking it out is great in certain situations, being assertive and putting your foot down is good in other situations, and not participating at all is perfect for others.

Everything in moderation, including moderation.

[–]VoyPerdiendo1 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You nailed it man, exactly this! Cognitive dissonance. Maybe they flip it one day and switch to the dark side. I bet some of them do.

I debated BluePillers in their sub (got the ban naturally) and all the bullshit they spewed at me made me feel like I was arguing with my bat-shit looney ex-wife.

That's the mindset.

did the same, same results as you :(, they were monitoring about what the average women brings to friendships.

I asked them what do they bring to the table, only 1 was actually agreeable (pretty much how girls that are friends can be exactly like guy friends, banter have fun etc. but nothing much more).

None said, introduction to other women, fashion, what looks good, but then I've only met one female friend thats exactly like that while honest. "that looks shit/good".A "bro" with feminine traits

The rest were just blatant insults to a question I was genuinely interested in hearing their answer.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't bother. The best non-ban result you'll get is a No True Scotsman appeal (You're not like all those bad rapists at TRP. You should leave that sub.)

Listen, scenario two is the correct way to handle it. Communication, not ultimatum, but honest discussion, laying out your feelings, your needs and the framework for the kind of relationship you want to be in. No dice? He leaves. No need to treat her wrong with one of his own by cheating. Hell, he could even leave without discussion if he felt like it.

The problem was that it was posed in TBP and not somewhere remotely sane. The average blue-piller is actually twice as nuts as the most whacked out RPer.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ultimatums are awful and short-sighted. I would leave anyone by default that gave me an ultimatum, and I expect the same if I gave anyone else an ultimatum.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In my experience, most ultimatums are bluffs. But you have to be willing to walk away should it not be one and you don't like the demands.

And because she benevolently allows him to masturbate in this manner, he should allow her to go to bars and clubs with her friends and fuck other guys in the bathroom stall. She has needs, too, and he should respect that.

If only there were some kind of mutual way they could both exercise these needs...nope. Nothing's coming to mind. Because she doesn't need sex. She needs validation, and she already has his. So she needs validation from other people.

[–][deleted] 57 points58 points59 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I have far more fun there debating Red Pill ideas than I probably should have. I think if I keep it up, I may be able to convert a few of the misguided men in there.

[–]batfish55 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That sounds like a lot of fun, but it might kill your grade if it deviates from the agenda the prof may be pushing.

I know a girl who, in a wimmin's studies class, had to do a paper on women in the media or something. She picked Playboy. She's a straight A student, but she got a B- on the paper because "Playboy objectifies women". Have you READ Playboy? They won't even say a negative thing about the bobbleheads Jenny Mcarthy or Anna Nicole Smith.

Its a like a coupe. You have an elected leader with his armed forces. Suddenly a forceful despot takes over. Ridiculously, it is the most beta army peeps who determine the direction of the country. If they had balls, they could all overthrow the despot. But instead they accept what he says and pay homage and authority to their newly self appointed leader bc they are too chicken to do anything abput it. Sickening.

[–]Manuel_S 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What is all this "do not judge" shit? I mean, seriously?

Judgement is everywhere. Its what we do as humans. When I am at a traffic light and it turns green, I judge whether its safe to go, or some cab is rushing the light.

What he should judge is: is this person still worth it enough for me that I should try? Simple as that.

[–]fr1ction 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

is this person still worth it enough for me that I should try?

I think the answer to this question is at the heart of the matter. RP: no it's not worth it, I have enough value to find someone else. BP: well their woman is all they've got so they stick with what is comfortable and routine even if it's shitty.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 33 points34 points35 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's deeper and much sadder than that for most.

Take my sad story. I don't just want sex. I want sex with my wife -- the woman I love and married. But I don't just want sex with my wife. I want my wife to want sex with me. I don't even "expect" sex. But I expect my wife, who I love and provide for, to want me. She married me, after all. She loves me, after all. Isn't she kind of supposed to want sex with a man she loves and married?

Here's where the detractors don't seem to get it (deliberately): Nobody thinks a husband has some kind of right to sex as a man who owns his wife as chattel. Not even the evil Red Pill people. TRP advocates think that it's...let's not say "wrong" because women have a right to say no...it's more that it's...a deeply disturbing rejection when a wife doesn't want to have sex with her husband. It's a sign that there's something wrong with the woman, with the man, with the relationship.

Sex is physically enjoyable for both parties. It doesn't cost any money. It doesn't take that much time. It's physically easy to do. It's not intellectually challenging. There is no good, logical reason not to have sex...UNLESS you're a woman trying to manipulate, punish, or use your man. UNLESS you're not attracted to your man. Sex is easy, free, and fun. If your woman's not having regular sex with you, something is wrong. It's not grrrrrl power and her body and her freedom to say yes or no that disturbs men. It's the fact that her doing this indicates that something is seriously wrong with the relationship.

[–]stalinbaby 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This should be on a FAQ page, under "Don't you just want to take away women's freedom for the sake of the patriarchy?"

[–]Rienfleche101011 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's like they look at the man in this situation as some abusive asshole like the dude in titanic just demanding sex from his wife for purely carnal reasons.

I guess it's new to them that men seek validation from their wives, on whether they're attractive or not.

And without sex they can't feel validation that yes they are attractive and a worthy mate.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Think about it this way. What if once a business hired you they could not fire you without paying out a big golden-parachute. In this scenario, your only real motivation to work hard and do a good job would be if you simply wanted to.

This is how marriage works for women. Once the man commits, the woman's only remaining motivation for satisfying the man's needs are if she feels like it. Honestly, given how selfish and awful most humans women are what happens is almost inevitable.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are an inherently no win situation.

option 1) You do as she wants, become the person she wants you to be, she'll lose respect for you (and attraction with it) because you let her change you.

option 2) You don't do as she wants, she'll endlessly try to break your stoicism, your resistance will fuel her attraction. Her image-conscious mind will push her to protest and seem unhappy, her subcounscious will keep her wanting you nonetheless.

Ever wonder why angry sex is always better ?

this is why i'm a blue piller. i understand that women are the BOSS. and i leave it at that.

you can try to exert some fancy game on them, but it's not gonna work. never has, never will. unless you go gay. that's the only way to "win."

or not get married. but i'm not that Godlike/okay with being alone. so, i'll just be like every other blue-collared joe blow and not get my head in the clouds like all you people here.

Red Pill: chasing a pipe-dream that only God-like genetics/income could manifest. otherwise....blue pill is the smart choice.

EDIT: Someone on this sub once said the motivation of this sub is to "denounce the evils of truth and love"...well, as i've said, and what the post above me makes very clear is that that's completely useless, so don't waste your breath...it's better then, to instead denounce the goodness of truth and love.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 51 points52 points53 points 12 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

You don't seriously need us to spell it out for you, do you?

In both scenarios, the guy expected to have sex. In the eyes of a feminist, bluepiller, or similar individual, expecting that your wife or girlfriend will have sex with you is treating her like an object. It's using her. It's disrespecting her.

You're supposed to love your girl as a person, and only as a person, and just be overjoyed to be next to her and have her company. You are never supposed to expect sex from her. You can ask. You can even try to initiate. But if she says no, you're pushing it if you even think to ask why she's rejecting your advances. Her sexual history, her sexual drive, her reasons for wanting or not wanting sex with you, or with other people, are all her business. Not yours.

Sex is as normal a part of a relationship as SHE chooses to make it. Not you. Your job is to do whatever it takes to keep her happy, and if you do a good enough job, she'll have sex with you once in awhile. If you undertake any kind of behavior -- even self-improvement -- with the hope or intent of improving your sex life, that is vile manipulation.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 36 points37 points38 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

And if you reject her advances for sex, it's abuse.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 33 points34 points35 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

And she's entitled to seek sex elsewhere if you do that.

Or if she feels bad when she has to turn you down after you ask for sex.

Or if she's angry about anything at all you've ever done.

Or if she's had anything to drink, ever.

[–]stalinbaby 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He actually started out stating that it's from their perspective.

[–]SacreBleuMe 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

It's absolutely the guy's business how much sex they have. Just as you have described the girl not being basically a slave to the guy's desires and expectations, the guy is also not a slave to the girl's desires and decisions.

People in relationships have sex. That is the expectation across the board. Not having sex in a relationship is abnormal. Expecting sex in a relationship is perfectly normal, and is certainly not necessarily treating your partner as an object. Combining expecting and wanting sex, and then not getting it, is guaran-fucking-teed to make someone upset.

The disrespect enters when you know your partner has desires, and you expect them to go against them. Wanting that to happen is not the same as expecting it, and is not disrespect.

Knowing that the girl does not want sex, and wanting it to happen, is not disrespectful, it's just natural. Knowing that the girl does not want sex, and expecting it to happen, is disrespect.

In a similar way, the girl not having sex when she knows that it is very important to the guy, is disrepecting him.

Relationships are a two-way street. The desires of the woman do not trump all else, as you seem to be saying here. No sex for years is going to be a dealbreaker for many, many men, and just as the guy in a relationship has an obligation to understand and respect the girl's desires, the girl likewise has an obligation to understand and respect the guy's desires.

If their desires are so entrenched and opposite that a respectful resolution or compromise cannot be reached, then the relationship needs to end.

This was incredibly hard to pick out as satire (and your downvotes show it) because of how close it lines up with actual feminist attitudes. Sex only when she wants it, never when you do.

Anecdotally, using the one-strike policy has worked amazingly for overcoming this. The first time she withholds sex without a genuine reason you calmly explain that the next time she does so she's cut. Proceed to hard next her if she does it again. Don't waste time with manipulative girls.

This just goes to show that these men seriously do believe that if you put enough kindness into a women she will sleep with you, and that they feel sex is a reward given by the woman to a man and not a intrinsic part of a healthy relationship.

The main problem I have with TBP is that it is literally just a group dedicated to hating on and making fun of an internet subforum (this one). TBP has no other purpose.

I liken TRP to a Dungeons and Dragons group, back when it was a lot more socially unacceptable. I know some TRPers will laugh or ridicule the comparison, but stfu and just hear me out.

It's primarily been a men's group that, when seen from the inside, actually has a great range and variance of personalities. People arrive at the table for a game, and they leave their real lives behind. It's a nice time to vent and get away from the public eye.

Sure you might have one or two guys who seem to a bit out there and seem weird, but for the most part everyone has a tacit understanding that, "hey, we're all a bit weird, and i'm leaving my judgment out the door when I step in here."

Somehow, this is enough to inspire a huge amount of criticism and ridicule. Some people out there will waste their own time and dedicate themselves to finding the worst examples of gamers and use that as a way to ridicule the entire group and community/movement.

"Lulz, look at that fat slob. What a virgin."

"I'd be ok with the movement, but why would I choose to be associated with people like that?" snort

"lol, he pretends he's an attractive elf in a long-term relationship. That won't even happen in his dreams."

"I may have no life of my own, but at least I'm not like them."

These same people wouldn't give two microturds about a women's knitting group or something else that's out of the ordinary, regardless of how many spinsters or socially awkward virgins they might have. For some reason, those just seem less threatening than an outcast men's interest group.

In reality though, away from the gaming table, many of the individuals have actually been well-adjusted socially. I was part of a group myself for a couple of months when I decided to try it out (would have lasted longer, but I eventually became too busy and had to move). Some of the friends I made charismatic as fuck and might have even benefitted from their gaming experience (it helped them articulate themselves and react to various acted situations). Lawyers, IT directors, martial arts fanatics… they were there too, right along side less socially competent folk like myself.

Individually fine, but as a group… it's a socially outcast group.

It's the same with this TRP. From what I could see just joining it, it's a small internet forum where a bunch of people get away from a judgmental society and just vent/shoot the shit and sometimes share advice and stories with fellow men. There's actually quite a wide range of personalities in here, so it's easy to pick out the most objectionable material.

Unfortunately, that's what the relationship and dating advice often comes down to: objectionable material.

Go to any major bookstore chain and look at the Relationships aisle. Easily over 90% of the books will be written for women. Books like "Why Men Love Bitches: From Doormat to Dreamgirl" that basically pigeonhole/label men and describe how we're controlled by "little boy glands" and how easily we can be manipulated. These are successful and lauded by women while being condemned by men in the reviews. We have many groups of women who talk/vent and share advice/stories in their private women's groups and write books on the matter. They are not considered a threat despite how objectionable so much of the material is, and society openly welcomes this.

If I had to give examples of objectionable content from the fem-sphere, I'd be stuck here forever. Somehow, TRP is special and deserves so much attention from some people (namely the ones from TBP). It's an easier, more socially acceptable target.

TBP has no other purpose, no advice aside from what is already commonly taught in the media and on reddit. TBP's equivalent in my earlier analogy would be a group that literally has no purpose other than to constantly make fun of tabletop gamers (a group that may have some weird people, but at least has its own purpose).

It's rather fitting though. It revolves around TRP the way subservient guys revolve around their girl and have little else going for them. This style of self-gratification/approval fits the personality to a T.

2: Feminists: They love us because we believe that women are equal and capable of making their own decisions. Or something like that.

I have not read the blue pill area stuff before. Fascinating. Reading their thoughts on and summaries of TRP thinking, you realize what competent musicians must feel when utterly tone deaf people arrogantly critique music and performance quality.

The most revealing comment was one that said "I refuse to believe that anyone in the red pill has ever interacted with a women long enough to have a conversation"

Matrix Morpheus Moment: What if I told you that I had many spectacular personal relationships with female friends, family members, co-workers, lovers, etc. during a full lifetime, and I think TRP has some valid insights?

[–]the_red_scimitar 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not only that, I've discussed TRP viewpoints with many women - even on first dates. And mostly, they've AGREED. The ones that could not see any of it were the most blatant examples of competitive, catty hypergamous females of them all. Most though, recognized several interesting facts (to some degree):

  • Women have trouble even being friends with each other
  • Women definitely are attracted to alphas
  • Beta orbiters - some are very aware of this and use them knowingly
  • Some even fully acknowledge shit testing, hypergamy, entitlement. But these ones also think it's exactly as it should be. These were easily the most solipsistic narcissists of them all.

[–]abcd_z 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"I refuse to believe that anyone in the red pill has ever interacted with a women long enough to have a conversation"

It gets worse. We are somehow both virgin neckbeards AND masters of a mystical element called "game" which manipulates women into sleeping with us against their will.

How this is supposed to work, I have no idea.

Implying? I'm not implying anything I'm pointing as a fact that homosexual people just as heterosexual have a very real need for sex, that need is so important for any person that I'll go as far as saying it goes beyond just physiological need but a genetic traid. in casa it wasn't clear PEOPLE WANT SEX!

Adding on homosexuals, the basic definition of homosexuality is being SEXUALLY attracted to your same gender.

In short denying sex to your "love" one is as evil as denying thrm food.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People want sex.

Well at least you now seem to realise that people fuck for pleasure and not onlg to have children.

Also I'm not comparing the effects that lack of foot or sex have in your body/mind, I'm pointing out how awful is denying sex to your "love" one.

Sexual starving them if you will.

Continuing the foot/sex comparative. Getting pity/duty sex every few MONTHS is like only eating military rations once a week, when you could very well eat a 3 course 5 stars meal everywhere else. Sex without desire and/or passion is awful.

Finally if you re-read what I wrote you'll see that I never condoned cheating.

What I do say is that as soon your love-one/partner/mate (whatever you want to call it) deprives you of sex, you should cut your looses and get out.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

they don't need sex.

not having sex makes you depressed and miserable. it is a need.

[–]Kwizkey 3 points3 points3 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You know as well as I do that sex is a vital component of the partnership between a man and a woman. A relationship without sex is not a relationship because it is a physiological requirement and the desire for it is in each and every one of us. You are being hypocritical because it is not men treating women like objects it is satisfying this psychological need which happens to be a more frequent feeling in males. You have proved that you disregard this and the needs of men, to suit you. That seems to treat men less like a human with needs and more like an inanimate object instead don't you think? You're talking on an emotional level and ignoring the basic physiological needs that are required for a happy relationship and for advancing human existence.

/u/xLadyVirgil makes some good points in that second thread, basically arguing that sex is a duty in a monogomous relationship.

Really the second story is the least objectionable thing I've read on here. I bet if you showed that story to them in a vacuum they'd be fine with his actions, but because it's on TRP they're automaticaly against it.

[–]the_red_scimitar -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Sex is never a duty. And counseling NEVER restores the attraction that leads to sex. If that's gone, sex is done for all intents and purposes. If it's important to you, move on.

[–]Mr_Andry 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Attraction can be repaired. There are tons of guys on TRP who post about saving their marriages. They just need to be reminded that they are men first and husbands second.

[–]the_red_scimitar 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]the_red_scimitar 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't believe that can ever come back from such instances without somewhat being tainted and feeling insincere.

[–]ajswdf 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That is a better way of looking at it. But using the duty frame is useful when one partner doesn't want to have sex or end the relationship. In that case, the partner witholding sex can't complain when the other partner leaves.

[–]the_red_scimitar 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah, smacks of manipulation, dishonesty. Be straight up. Tell them it's part of the relationship you require. Ignore subsequent hamstering. End it.

You ALWAYS have to be willing to walk away, and she has to be aware of that. And that means really and truly walking away. The biggest shit test you can fail is not walking away when you have made them understand you will, or when you should.

[–]Mr_Andry 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm not gonna say that either of those crowd reactions are correct, but both men reacted poorly.

The correct response is to hit the gym, clean up the diet, start flirting more (both with the woman in the story and other women), and responding properly to various shit tests (shutting them down instead of putting up with them).

As part of the unplugged community, we are not obligated to share the proper steps of kindling attraction, but we should at least recognize when they're missing.

A woman is never, ever obligated to have sex. Neither is a man. Instead, we take control of our own behavior so that our desired partners will desire us in return.

Monogamy depends on a degree of, yes, I'll say it - virtue - from both sides. In the modern era, women have chosen a very opportunistic path where they use availability of sex as a weapon. That's not an acceptable tactic within the framework of monogamy. Feminism may claim to pursue equality but it is simply based on one notion, "Female wants matter. Male needs don't matter". Men aren't discovering red pill; they're having it shoved down their throats by ridiculously selfish female behavior everywhere they go.

Understanding attraction and values in a relationship destroys the symbolism of love being a part of nature which clashes with the values of this monogamous society.

Men, however rightly or wrongly, make the connection that the reward for believing in female loyalty (love) is sex.

Woman, the mysterious creature she is, understands that their attraction (love) is very conditional, so prefer men don't understanding it as it can only be used to disqualify her from a deserved life of pleasure that doesn't have to involve anything she doesn't want.
