Honestly I think that it's all about power.

Feminists have for decades been accepted and are free to express themselves. Men are still finding their voices and are raised to be polite in all matters woman.

It's changing but slowly.

I think its a pretty broad statement and comparing apples to oranges.

The men's right subreddit is open for discussions and opinions on how to improve men's rights and the issues they face. This comes down mainly to the movement being based on statistics and hard evidence. As statistics can change based on time and external factors, so then should discussions.

The feminist subreddits I've seen have their doctrine set in stone and challenging it is like disproving god to a group of devout religious people, it's not going to go down well.

I think that is partly because of the feminist popular narritive that men are oppressors, violent, rapists, the enemy ... That is what the semi educated think/believe so they become hostile against men.

Another factor is that it is completely accepted by society (and especially in feminist circles) to be rude to men.

Because feminists think MRA is sexist and stuff like that. and that makes it think that it is a toxic subreddit, but in reality. It isn't toxic. Many people here support mens rights and womens rights. The reason people focus on mens rights, is that people don't really care about men.

PS: You will suddenly get banned from certain sub, if you joined this one, because this is a "toxic" subreddit, without even interacting with the other subreddit.

If you start by believing there is a patriarchy consisting of men trying to gain and hold power over women, then you believe men are the enemy. It seems reasonable to treat an enemy rudely, especially if you believe they are trying to hurt you.

I don't know of a belief at the root of men's rights that demonizes women.

Because most MRAs genuinely strive for equality, and recognize the importance of listening to multiple perspectives to achieving that goal. They recognize that not everyone agrees with them but they think that their arguments are in an of themselves quite compelling, so they recognize that the best way to work towards equality is politely and civically explaining why their goals are beneficial.

By contrast, most feminists strive for power. They want the ability to control the world around them. Having a viewpoint different from theirs makes one difficult to control. Therefore, feminists tend to be very resentful towards MRAs and other non-feminists.

Feminism is truly a supremacy movement.

In a supremacy movement there will be a sense of entitlement and elitism.

They think of themselves as "victims" in a conspiracy theory they call "patriarchy" and as such, morally justified in considering themselves the superior gender.

There is profit in supporting this movement by politicians and certain businesses. Would they spend $$$ bashing men in the commercials if it were not effective?

So, you have a supremacy movement backed by a society using it to sell products and politicians.

I'm not even fucking kidding, what's particularly hilarious is they genuinely seem to think they aren't being rude when they write horrible shit about people. I have personally been accused of 'hating women' or being 'ant-woman' or one person purely because I am completely against feminist ideology decided to try and brand me a woman beater and the biggest joke about all of this was she claimed to be a 'feminist lawyer'. Now I personally think she wasn't and she was probably an intern to big for her own suit ( In more ways than one ) but being generous that should tell you something about their mentality.

They write all of that shit and then they have the balls to come here and play the victim and then inevitably play the victim elsewhere claiming people here are being 'rude' to them. No shit you fucking idiots, of course people are going to be rude to them if you either insinuate or outright accuse them of being misogynists and woman beaters. You don't get to write that shit about people unless you really really want to get sued and it's so bad these days that I could win a libel court case by myself because they're making really specific claims.

I'm having a lengthy rant but this is a topic that really pisses me off, like you and others point out they consider the male gender to be the worse thing ever. I think that is how they justify their treatment of people here in particular which is why it's worth pointing out that many feminists are not here to 'debate' they're here to shame people in attack them into switching sides. That being said as bad as these feminists often are I find the feminist apologists to be far worse because they keep feigning ignorance that any of this is even happening which is why I think whenever these shit heads come along we need to hit them hard with all the topics they refuse to talk about.

Because properly socialized men don't need to. Men have used all the insults against each other and have learned where the line is. We know exactly how to be polite and how to phrase honesty in a way that doesn't need to be hurtful. The goals of most men in a men's rights related discussion is frame a point of view. We have learned how to be tactful and polite through trial and error, and we understand exactly when we've said something hurtful and when we haven't. As a result, it's far easier for us to phrase things and be bluntly honest without being cruel.

Women are taught often enough that any sort of discord is incorrect and anything that promotes any sort of disharmony or argument, especially with fellow women, is wrong. I have several female relatives that just CANNOT deal with people arguing or not agreeing with each other, or especially them. Either you IMMEDIATELY agree with them, or you are out to hurt them, or something. The only way to deal with them is with dishonesty. Just agree and keep your opinions to yourself.

So when they decide to be their version of strong-headed, the only way they know to criticize is to insult. So that's exactly what they do.

Because feminism's thought leaders often have personality disorders and hate men to maintain their mental balance instead of finding something productive to do to improve their mental well being, and people who fall into those lines of thought end up adopting extreme views with no basis in reality, which then serves to justify atrocious behavior up to and including elimination of men or close to it. That's been seriously suggested by well-known, respected feminists. It's basically similar to any other hate movement.

Because their worldview exists to maintain mental balance, they have to block out any information to the contrary of it.
