Seriously. Women need to know that hitting a guy in the junk is a last resort in self defense only. For one, a successful hit to the giblets only buys you about 20 or 30 seconds before the guy is after you in a complete blind rage. A near miss will buy you no time and he will still likely go into a blind rage. This cop only kept his cool because he has some training.

I hate how some women think they can just strike a man however she wants and it's on him if he retaliates physically. That attitude gets women into dangerous situations all the time.

Men know what it feels like to be punched. That fear keeps each one of us in check every day at work and in line at the bank. Women do NOT have this concept whatsoever, so to them they live life in public without the "what if he punches me if I do that?" thought that is in the back of every man's mind.

I think men just have a common bond as we mature that the world isn't fair, you have to work if you want something so why make it harder on the next guy. Obviously there are exceptions aplenty. In 1991 I joined the Marine Corps. The day I left for boot camp I spent most of the morning at the federal building in Boston waiting for a ride to the airport with the rest of the inductees from all the service branches. The Marine recruiter at the federal building had given all of us going to Parris Island, eight or ten of us, our "big green monsters" which were just very thick green books filled with all of the knowledge that we would be learning at boot camp. After about a half hour of flipping through it to kill some time one of the other Marine Recruits asked if any of us had gotten to the hand to hand training part. No one else had, but we all found the right place in the book. Almost every hand to hand situation ended with something like "Slap/grab your opponent by the crotch, pull and twist as hard as you can." One of us read this out loud and everyone in the room, about fifty people, turned and looked at us like we were fucking savages. Almost everyone had that closed leg flinch thing going on. After a minute or two someone said "I guess if it's war and they're trying to kill you it's okay to do that." Not everyone agreed.

A man's crotch being off limits in a fight is pretty much stamped on our DNA. Or as my drill instruction Staff Sergent Smith would say "It's in your D and your A."

It's not about genders it's about proportional force. If the person trying to kick him in the nuts is 6'4 and looks like he stepped off the cover of a body building magazine, the cop is going straight for his taser as he knows that is the minimum force required to incapacitate the person. If the person is a 12 year old child with a handgun taking pop shots at people, the cop is going to use his gun as well because you don't bring a fist or a taser to a gun fight. But this woman is physically much smaller so he doesn't need a gun, taser, or nightstick as all those things lend themselves to more proportional force than the. Op just using his hands. And even while using his hands, he has a choice between dislocating arms or just throwing someone to the ground, again proportional force. For a much smaller and likely intoxicated person, a stiff wind is already going to take them down so there's no need for more force.

true - but it all depends on what kind of person you are. Sure, a good ol' kuncle sammich would be well deserved and justified after trying to kick him in the balls - but then he has to deal with the repercussions whether they be from his higher ups or from society, not to mention himself.

I was a bouncer for years and had this sort of thing arise on a near monthly basis - and I could never bring myself to dish out a nap to some dumb twat, even if they were essentially begging for it. It would really take me being in some sort of danger to make myself to straight up punch a woman (or tiny dude) in the face. I usually just sort of kept them away from me or grabbed wrists while blowing up the radio for some backup. More often than not there was a cop standing right near us or within shouting distance up the street that would be there immediately - and I always felt like if I sort of hammed it up like "please, miss, you have to go, please!", it would make them look worse in the eyes of the cop.
