Feminist cancer.

It's run by a bunch of feminists as a PR effort, so they can say, "Look: we don't really hate men. We're trying to help men". But it's based on all the same feminist lies and misandry as everything else feminism does.

Go into that sub and post something that questions the feminist narrative in any way. Quote some stats disproving the wage gap myth, point out the truck-sized holes in the rape culture argument or show that feminism's favourite stats about incidence of rape or domestic violence are wildly inaccurate. Result: instant ban. That tells you everything you need to know.

Once you discover the beliefs and identities of the overlords of menslib, you discover and know everything that you need to know. I am somewhat sympathetic, given that I would put Warren Farrell in this camp during the 70s and 80s.

But, in the end, you have to ask: Are they helping men for the benefit of men and looking at men's issues on their own terms? Or, are they trying to somehow fix men for the benefit of women? There is a noticeable difference between these approaches.

I welcome any constructive dialogue on these points.

They go a lot on how "Toxic Masculinity" is what's treating men badly, or the "evil patriarchy". If you suggest that female groups or women are also putting men down, or that the "evil patriarchy" is composed of gynocentric men who overwhelmingly treat women better than men, its off to the ban pool.

Since they're 'pro-feminist' they'll only accept blame on other men, never women too.

I'd like the place more if they called it "toxic misandry" instead of "toxic masculinity" since at least it's not throwing all the blame "man up dork" on "tough guy" misandrists.

I'm of the opininon modern feminism is no longer about equality. Women all already have the same legal rights as men in the western world. Feminism won it's original goal, to have all the good things men had, but none of the negatives of course. Because feminism only looked at gender inequality from the woman's perspective, never the man's. IMO anyone who cares about equality today should call them selves Egalitarians instead.

People keep trying to mention that sub like it matters, until you see them talking about male suicide, domestic violence, circumcision and so on. Actual serious issues that aren't just talked about in the context of blaming men then they are irrelevant.

They want make vocations of female rapists to tell their story, as long as you doubt offend women. How women feel about male victims' stories is more important than the stories of male victims.

I think they are well meaning but naive, they are getting plenty of feminist cookies for allowing female feminists to hold men and patriarchy responsible for all thats wrong while not holding women or feminism to the same standard of accountability.

Its what feminists always said an acceptable mens movement is.

When it was first created, the moderators seemed to be at least trying to create a space for discussion of gender equality (for men) without every conversation having at least one thread wandering off into an ideological slapfight/circlejerk about feminism.

And while it's often useful to identify that many structural and institutional inequalities faced by men these days are the result of feminist ideology being implemented into policy, I suppose it's not absolutely necessary to explicitly point this out when discussing the topics.

Unfortunately, it seems like over time the moderators have shifted from that somewhat-defensible moderation stance of removing stuff that was openly/unnecessarily feminist-hostile to saying certain topics are off-limits because the available facts and/or inevitable conclusions are not feminist-friendly.

e.g.: You wanna talk about reproductive rights? Sure! Just don't bring up that women have de facto Legal Parental Surrender and you think LPS should be available to men, too.

Unless you're hardcore anti-feminist, it's actually pretty good, but not as lively as here, and the mods have been overly heavy-handed in the past. I like it, but I'm a pro-feminist MRA.
