You need a strong why and you need to internalise the why.

It's good that you're spiralling, spiral deeper and it might give you the impetus to turn around; strengthen your why.

It also helps to like and appreciate pain. When you eat healthy, your body will crave, and fighting it off will feel like suffering, that pain is beautiful. Feel it, embrace it, like you embrace the pain of a last squat rep.

Also helps to start gymming, you'll not want your efforts in the gym to go to waste and it'll motivate you to stay on track. If you're already gymming, step it up abit and sweat more, giving you more to lose/waste if you don't eat right.

Think about what'll happen if you don't turn your life around. You wanna be a pussyless fat fuck forever?

It's a vicious cycle:

You eat sugar and carbs

Sugar and carbs raise your insulin

Your insulin lowers your blood sugar

When your blood sugar gets low you crave sweets, so you eat sweets and the cycle continues.

You're going to have to wake up one morning and decide to strictly limit carbs.

I wake up and eat a couple of eggs and no toast. Sometimes I'll mix some vegetables and cheese in them. Morning snack I'll have a protein shake. Lunch I'll have a sandwich with a bunch of meat in it. Another shake for snack. Then dinner is meat and vegetables.

For desert sometimes I'll have a bowl of cereal with some protein shake in it, at least it has vitamins in it.

But that's the key. You need to break your sugar cycle / addiction. It won't be easy.

Get on /r/fitness and get the myfitnesspal app so you can track your calories and figure out how much you should be eating.

Hit the gym or play a sport and you'll automatically start making healthy choices so that you improve. But you're too thin for 180cm. You need to eat more, but cooked food not junk shit. Junk food is bad for you not just because of the insane number of calories, they also contain huge amounts of sodium and hydrogenated oils and other crap.

Start lifting and all those kcals will go into something productive. Then gradually when you get into lifting nutrition will follow. Eating healthy doesn't mean that you eat boring or gross foods. Make some fajita with rice and a big bowl of sallad splashed with some olive oil. Thats some tasty stuff.

It sounda dumb, but sometimes you need to just sit down and talk.

Talk to your parents about what you see as a problem, and ask them for their support in eating healthier and better, and hopefully they'll come round and help you eat better along side you.

A problem also is that depending on your financial situation, a lot of the food available to the lower class is often that same food which is full of fat, sugars, cholesterol, etc. If your parents can only afford this, I would perhaps try help them by finding a job of your own, to try and bring some more wealth into your home. Growing your own can also be a good idea, with many people during the Wars growing their own food, and eating better due to the reduction in imported foods like chocolate etc which is hard to come by in war time.

Growing your own should also be a lot cheaper alternative for you, whilst at the same time providing exercise in the form of gardening and digging shit up.

Well you want to stop so that's a good start, you already have a good mindset. Now when I was your age I also drank a lot of soft drinks and ate shit. I went cold turkey on the soft drinks & started drinking water only. It will be hard in the beginning but after a while you will begin to adjust. I despise them now, drinking water is so much better for you.

For the unheathly foods, get some fruit that you like, if you're not sure try different kinds and you will replace your sweets/ cookies with them.

For chips, try nuts. I personally love a few cashews to fill my caloric needs, or almonds. Just make sure to not overeat them.

For Junk food, learn to love cooking. It's essential to be able to feed yourself, learn about nutritions, CICO, IF.

Also I find being able to resist unhealthy shit way easier while grocery shopping, than when my mom used to do it for us. Eversince I do it myself, I buy only good shit (also make a list of what u need to buy, and buy nothing else).

When I was your age. I didn’t care about the damage bad food did to my body. What i did care about was improving myself. Having more energy, being more sharp, having better testosterone, etc.

Look up the benefits of drinking cold water. Eating bananas, eating avocados, etc. all the healthy food you’re interested in eating, look up the benefits of eating them.

In short, you're fucked. Easiest way to not eat it, is to not buy it. Even I have a had time not eating half a box of cookies when it's in the cupboard.

Try just drinking water, then switching to fruit for sugar needs, then just vegetables and meats etc. Everything has sugar in it, you can't 100% get away from it, but you don't need to completely.

Eat enough junk daily so that IBS (chronic disease) develops and is triggered.
Experience the pain and discomfort everyday. Go through the corresponding anger and denial phase.
Eventually build different, higher priorities for your life than junk food.
Accept your limitations, eat healthy (although no food keeps the disease at bay) and hit the gym.

Worked for me. Still working on point 4 tho.

Think of junk food like this: it only tastes good because biologically fats and sugars are difficult to find naturally in nature. Aka you either got lucky and found some fruit (healthy form of sugar) or you got lucky and killed an animal with a lot of fat (rare).

Start thinking of your food as fuel. If you have to choose between Doritos and grilled salmon which one is better for you?

You need to retrain the way you look at everything you eat, stop thinking about “what taste the best on my tongue so I can feel happy for ten minutes and then feel like shit for an hour”

Start thinking about hey if I eat this will it be nutritious? Will it help me gain muscle? Will it give me energy? Am I making my tongue happy or am I feeding my brain, muscles and organs?

Give yourself a month of clean eating and you will feel yourself come out of the shitty food foggy brain state you’re currently in.

Your "why" is to look better, think better, feel better, to **be** better. Stopping the consumption of junk food is merely a step in attaining your "why".

The consumption of processed sugar merely demands more and more from the consumer. Sugar begets a desire for sugar. Diet drinks then increase your appetite on top of the desire for sugar and the spiral continues. You will need to go cold turkey on processed sugar (supplement with fresh fruit instead). Stop the processed food, sugar, dyes, and diet soda/drinks and stop it for at least 10 days. Double your water consumption during this time. The advice to lift harder during this time is also good but understand that a significant increase in your exercise routine will also make you ravenously hungry which might be counterproductive.

So if the stuff doesn't come in the house, you can't eat it. Make a giant meal list of what you want to eat that is healthy and ask your mom for help in buying the stuff when she shops. Invest in some individual storage containers for meal prep. Spend about 1-2 hours on Sunday, planning out and making your meals for the week. Center your meals around having a protein, plenty of veggies and a little whole grain carbs. Add in some fat as well (olive oil etc). No more refined carbs. Have your night time snack list as well.

Reward yourself with a few cheat meals per week.

If you HAVE to go to McDonald's order a grilled chicken sandwich without the fries.

Cravings for sweets often indicate high insulin levels which can result in a prediabetic state.

IF and a low carb diet will lower your insulin levels and suddenly in a week you wont crave anything anymore. Try it. Look up some vids of Dr Berg on youtube about insulin resistance

Intermittent fasting.

Begin with a simple rule : you can eat whatever you want between 12am and 10pm. It’s a 14:10 fast frame.

It means that in the morning when you wake up, you don’t eat nor drink any calorie before 12am. You can have water, unsweetened coffee and tea, but no food, no milk, no soda, etc. Same after 10pm.

Maybe you already skip breakfast so it shouldn’t be too hard.

Then at 12am, break your fast with something that contains fats and proteins (meat, avocado, nuts,...). Try to avoid carbs (bread, pasta, sweets). This is to avoid an insulin peak. Then, later in your eating window, you can eat pretty much what you want. Keeps the carbs for the dinner, because it will make you sleepy. Then go to bed, and get your 8 hours sleep.

Try this for a few weeks. Then shrink your eating window, for exemple you eat from 1am to 10pm. Continue a few weeks. Then from 2am to 10pm.

Continue until you get a 18:6 frame, or even 20:4.

For example I usually eat between 4-6pm to 22pm. And I eat what I want within this time, though I try to eat all the nutrients my body needs.

IF is easy to follow, no calories counting, no macros counting, you will still be able to eat dinner with your family or friends, and it will help you lose weight and increase your metabolism.

And hit the gym.

Once you will be on track of your fitness journey, you will be willing to adapt your diet (counting macros, adjusting the fasting frame, adding complements,...), but one thing at the time.

Nobody can do it for you. But IF is the best diet I have found so far (and I’ve tried many).

Don’t think about a life style change or about long term goals. When it comes to food it doesn’t matter what you ate before or what you’re going to eat next Tuesday, it’s about the current meal or the next meal you will eat. When you think about all the salad and chicken you are going to eat in a weeks span it’s not appetizing, but when you make a smart choice on your current meal it gets easier. If you crave sugar, eat fruits, if you are still hungry after you eat, shove as much raw broccoli down your throat until your not. Always choose the healthier choice, if it helps to meal prep then do that. Don’t wait to eat until your starving because then you want what sounds good. Eat on a schedule and stick to it.

Small steps my guy. Cold turkeying is too much at first hand. You gotta slowly build up good dieting by making it habitual. A few options you can try:

Start excluding the junk food you eat one step at a time. For example, eat whatever you want but try to eliminate just sugary drinks like soda, juice, energy drinks, punch, etc. Just drink water or tea. Once you've made not drinking sugary beverages a habit, proceed accordingly to eliminating fast foods, candy, then cookies, then bread, and so on. Slowly overtime, one step at a time (this is key).
Restrict a few days to not eating junk food altogether. For example, I'll eat no junk food on weekdays like MonTueWedThurs but FriSaySun I'll eat whatever. (You can adjust this to whatever you're comfortable with)
Calories in, and Calories out. Eat whatever the hell you want, but make sure you know the amount of physical exercises you have to put in to burn it all off.
The options above can be combined, which is what I currently do. I workout 5 times/week on the weekdays, and keep my dieting strict. Weekends are my rest days and cheat days.

Each of the options are all about patience and persistence. Don't think about the outcome, just ride through the journey. Good luck

Only drink water from now on. I'd also recommend you stop eating anything after 7 pm. Get your body used to eating only two or three times a day. It will be very hard at first, you're probably still addicted to sugar. Once you get good you should look a microfasting, and doing that once a week. It's all in your head - this is a test of pure self-control.

I'm suffering from the same problem. I'm not that unhealthy, but I'm going to start exercising and I need a diet. Problem is, my (obese) father is basically a tyrant in this house and decides what to eat for everyone. If you rebel, he gets angry. Guess I need to confront him, and I will get what I want. I don't think your parents are that much of a problem, from what I read... So if I can do it, so can you.

I struggled with (BED) I also suffer from ulcerative colitis. So my binges would send me into a horrible flare. Sometimes I would eat just a brownie that someone may have offered. Next thing you know it was tuesday and i've ruined weeks of progress..

My advice that worked for me. Is intermittent fasting with hours that cater well. I also reccomend finding out weather you eat shit foods randomly, is it triggered or comfort?

Finally IFFYM works for a lot of people espically if you dont have (BED) make sure you hit your protien requirements then have something naughty. Just ensure its not taking more than 20% of your daily calories.

Join a sport. And a real one like basketball or football, soccer, etc. (not that bowling or ping pong shit). Guaranteed your coaches and teammates will whip you into shape. As for your diet, it’s 110% mental. You need to say no to certain foods, and have that goal of losing weight and being healthy in the back of your mind whenever you eat. You need to be self aware of what your eating and how much.
