To be fair they only want equality with certain things, not everything. Women fight to have the same number of executives as men in Fortune 500 companies, but they never seem to fight to have the same number of women as men in actual tough physical jobs like iron workers or cement contracting. They push for steep rape punishments but at the same time they push for leniency for women that falsely accuse others of rape because it "may scare victims to come forward" with no regard for the male victims that are falsely accused. They also seem to have no problem with women hitting men but dont defend a man when hes being physically attacked and punches a woman in the face.

It seems for the most part they dont want actual equality. They want an advantage because they were at a disadvantage for so long they think having advantages now somehow makes it even. But it doesnt. True equality treats everyone exactly the same regarding work, the justice system, and self defense. They dont seem to want that.

I see posts on Reddit all the time. Youve never seen a post where a women admits to falsely accusing a man of rape, and people say she should get a harsh jail sentence? Every time theres comments saying "Well you cant do that because it may scare future victims from coming forward" in complete disregard to the men that have their reputation, career, and sometimes their whole life ruined by a false accusation.

How about the line "No man should ever put his hands on a woman for any reason." Youve never heard someone say this? Videos of women physically swinging on a man and when the man punches them in the face hes suddenly the villain. These people openly admit they wouldnt feel that way if it had been another man attacking them. Why should a woman be allowed to physically attack a man without the man being able to physically defend themselves the same way they would if it was a man attacking them?

Dont get me wrong, Im not doubting you feel that way, but as a true feminist your cause has been hijacked my louder, more annoying people with their own agenda. Something Ive been seeing with A LOT of causes lately. Its fucked up.

Feminism had three waves.

The first wave was simply women trying to get the same legal rights as men. The right to vote, the right to own property, the right to get an education, etc. The first wave peaked in the early 20th century and lead to women getting these rights.

The second wave probably peaked in the 70s and was all about getting women to have the same social standings as men. They didn't want to be relegated to just being housewives. They wanted to be treated fairly. Legally, they had the same rights, sure, but it was exceptionally rare for women to get promotions at work, for example. They were still being treated as lesser than men.

Third wave is a backlash from the failure of the second wave and is peaking right now. The bitterness of still not being treated equally has resulted in blatant misandry, and unfortunately, the rage has made a lot of them blind to see that in many cases, they're the cause of their own failures. They complain about the lack of women getting STEM fields while they're getting a degree in Women's Studies or some other useless degree. They blame everything on "the patriarchy" while not actually doing anything to dismantle it other than yell on Tumblr/Twitter/etc., shout down speakers at universities, and spread the lie about women making 77 cents for every dollar a man makes.

Feminism used to be about equality, but the third wave soiled the name and now the word is associated with just hating men. There are still some people that are truly striving for equality and will call themselves feminists, but I know a lot of them have preferred to adopt the label of "humanist" to distance themselves from the man haters.

Sadly you don't even know what feminism is. It's an entire movement currently setup to push hate against men and to subjugate them as much as possible. You can't really say that feminism now has anything to do with equality because it has absolutely to do with equality. If it was about equality feminism would be pushing equal laws and equal punishments, addressing the facts that men are not all rapists and that women rape just as much, that men have literally no reproductive rights, that men get fucked over for custody constantly, that domestic violence effects men just as much and is so bad that even when the man is the victim HE will be more likely to be the one that is arrested than the female perpetrator, that women make up the majority of the teaching positions and as such have made an almost constant campaign to hurt boys by providing less support as well as worse grades, that someone masculinity is toxic. That's just off the top of my head. Oh and the biggest one, if it was about equality than why are feminists not holding rallies in saudi arabia or other areas in which women do not have many rights? Or how about the fact that all you ever hear about with boko harem is the women being raped and put into sex slavery, when just as many boys are raped but then either murdered or forced into being child soldiers through a series of drug addictions and abuse. Feminism is as much about equality as it is about quantum physics.
