Did she ever stop to think- for just one second- that most people don't care about her or her life? She literally expects a book bout herself to go flying off the shelves? So conceited our society has become. Everyone thinks they're their own special snowflake. Amy Shumer is one of the worst cases.

What did they expect? This article that I found in 10 seconds from Google (so take it with a grain of salt), says that marketers will spend roughly $1 for every hardcover copy of a book they want to sell. If they want to sell 50K copies, they will spend $50,000 dollars.

Spending $9 million on a memoir from a woman as polarizing in reception as Amy Schumer (you either love her or you hate her) is such a dumb business decision and they deserve everything that comes their way.

Crappy Ghostbusters (as opposed to plain Ghostbusters), her book, they're peddled on ideology, so negative opinions don't matter to true believers.

I really liked the first season of Inside Amy Schumer, the second was kind of disappointing, but ok. The third took an ugly turn into "Feminist Humor" instead of "humor"...everything seemed targeted at an agenda of women vs men.

The 4th season I couldnt' even finish watching. It was painfully unfunny...skits went on 2-3 times longer than the joke called for. It had no sense of comedic timing, so the things that should have been funny just fell flat.

If I didn't know better I'd swear she changed the entire writing staff for the last season because the tone, direction, and attempts at humor were so strikingly different.

More than anything Amy is an extremely generic "Comedienne"...she falls back on the same, lazy tropes that too many female comedians do. "I'm such a slut", "my body is disgusting", sex, sex, sex...it's just not original
