You way overdid it, IMO, and you took the wrong avenue(talking about disrespect, instead of respect, which made your side of the argument the negative side).

I would have tried, "Whether or not you deserve respect has nothing to do with what's between your legs.", and kept it in simple terms such as that, instead of responding point by point at her level.

I will be congenial and benevolent to people without knowing who they are, just because that's the sort of person I am... but my respect is reserved for those who have demonstrated they deserve it.

People who say women deserve respect just for being women don't actually respect women. If they did, they'd treat women like adults who could be held to the same standards for respectability as men rather than spoiled children who need their attitudes coddled and their egos cradled.

That's the thing. Very many women gobble down these soundbites like it's the Holy Ambrosia of Feminism.

Appealing to them with rational discourse is pointless. What's needed is to build a counter-movement. That counter-movement needs to support men who stand up, so that people like OP actually don't feel like they have to sit down, be isolated and keep quiet.

That's the goal of the feminist movement - keep men isolated and attack them until they shut up, one at a time. That's also why any form of male space elicits more intense, burning opposition and toxic venom than pretty much anything. It threatens them with men speaking with each other in a systematic way.

We all pick our battles, and while I agree with everything you said, I'm gonna have to point out the obvious: someone making statements on FB using grammatically incorrect, eCard-esque lines fixed around a picture of a Minion (for some reason) aren't exactly going to be receptive to really clear-cut logic. You gotta be mindful of your audience. And everything about this post should've been a red flag that it was going to be a discussion that accomplished very little.
