So I work at an engineering office, the staff is approximately 150 people, with about a 5 to 1, male to female ratio. The bathrooms are being renovated, 1 male bathroom and 1 female bathroom. The renovations were supposed to be done in a month total, it has been 6 weeks already and the men's room is not completed (men's room was the first to be done) due to issues w/ tiling and what not.

The plan was that when the men's room was under construction that the men would use a portable bathroom outside the office. This has been somewhat acceptable, the AC can go on and off, it is cramped and the smells are not always great inside. It is not dirty by any means, just uncomfortable and a pain in the ass to walk across the office and outside to use the bathroom.

Now that the men's room is almost done the second phase has been released, the women's room will be under construction and guess what, the women will use the newly renovated men's room, and the men keep using the portable bathroom outside. Why is it that women get the benefit here? It is not due to the numbers, as surely if you wish to inconvenience the least amount of people the women would be the ones who would be outside the whole time.

Not that big a deal, just another one of the men taking it on the chin and nobody seeming to bat an eye.
