My friend’s ex is still living off his alimony 4 years later. She will never work. They have adult children as well. She got the marital home and he lives in an apartment. It’s basically indentured servitude. He is killing himself working long hours while she pays tennis and day drinks. How is this possible???

It's not about how much money she makes, but what she is capable of making. What you want is a vocational evaluation. It will cost you several thousand dollars, but the end result will be a number that will be used to impute her income. Imputing her income is how you reduce and/or eliminate your support to her.

My ex wanted that alimony after an 11 year marriage, and she didn't get it. AZ divorce and the judge basically told that there was no viable reason why she wasn't working.
