Three months out from dday and have grown a lot emotionally. Am recognizing and addressing my own personal factors that contributed to the demise of my marriage and filing for divorce. But being this lonely is an adjustment so thinking of maybe dipping my toes into dating apps.

I’m not looking for anything serious, or really even casual hookups necessarily. Just looking for someone to have conversations with. Someone to take an interest in me and vice versa. See where things go. Really not trying to approach it seriously at this point in time… more so just curious perhaps?

Anyone have any solid tips for approaching this, Esp when all I see on Reddit is how shitty online dating is? I’ve never really dated since I met and remained with my wife since I was 18, so this is a whole new world for me. Again, not looking for hookups, so probably tinder is a no-go.

I’m 32, fairly good looking, in shape at 6’4”, highly educated professional, so I don’t think I would have an impossible time finding someone to be interested in me.

Finally, did anyone have reservations about dating apps, or actual dating, prior to divorce being finalized? Pros and cons to this?
