I wish there wasn't a one year waiting period here in Ontario, Canada. We're 4 months in. She initiated this all. Now I just cannot wait to get it all over with and go on with my life without her. My emotions go up and down but really I just feel stuck right now as I wait for this chapter of my life to end.

I just signed my separation paperwork Tuesday after 6 months of the back and forth. I share your feelings. We have three young kids. No waiting period in NY, either can file next step and can happen in two weeks. I’m torn up inside still for my kids. I hate the addiction disease and ugly unresolved trauma, it’s the root of all evil. I wish you peace my friend

Sign the papers. You can’t start a new chapter until you finish the last one. It’s not going to be easy, but it doesn’t have to be really hard either. Move slow and deliberately into things that you enjoy.

These are all very depressing replies, it will get better, I’m smack in the middle of a terrible divorce but you have to realize, everything gets better with time just please know you aren’t alone and many people go through this

Dude, I know exactly how you feel and she moved out December 26th, 2024. It's been 18 months and I can't move on. I was with her 28 years. I'll never move on, I'm convinced. Hopefully death will come soon.
