Alright, so my ex's car broke down 2 weeks ago. The temporary court order states that we must either conduct exchanges at school or at a third party location on weekends. She is currently staying with friends and I've been accommodating her by dropping off my daughter at their house. Ex has been elusive by not giving me details about whether the old car was sold, traded or junked but she did say that she will be taking possession of a new car later next month (4-6 weeks w/o reliable transportation total). She has been able to make at least one drop off at school this past Friday, so I'm guessing she is at the mercy of her friend's rides?

At what point can I reasonably withhold my daughter for my ex's lack of transportation? Technically, she is in contempt if she can't fulfill the temporary orders but who would look worse in court if I get called in on an emergency hearing?
