OFW is the standard for divorce communications, reimbursements, parenting time, etc. Been using it for 4 years, and it's worth every penny to force her comms through it.

Preach. My boys are off to university in several weeks and I am counting down the days when I can block my ex on phone and text and tell her that if she needs to reach me for anything urgent she can email me, which I check occasionally. I get dozens of texts from her each week even when my boys are in my custody.

Let me tell you about our dont fucking talk to me plan.

The ex pushed a stipulation in the parenting plan that requires me to send her a weekly email concerning anything relating to the kids.

Fine. Here's how this works. I send her an email with her upcoming visitation schedule for the week, a section of FYI info and a Required Response section for questions. No response means FYI and schedule is accepted.

Monday, if there was a RR question, she answers. She can then ask any RR questions.

Tuesday, if she asked a question, I answer.

That's it. Dont text me. I havent spoken to her outside of school events in a couple of years and I love it.

I switched to email only comm a few years ago and it’s been the best! I wish I had done it earlier.

I understand this. I still haven’t blocked her, but told her if it’s not strictly about the kid, don’t talk to me about your personal stuff. So far she’s obliged.
