Your attorney needs to get into court with a petition for temporary custody until such time as the divorce is finalized. That's the only way to fix this.

Your attorney is the point contact on all of this. This is extreme. If your attorney does not seem up to snuff to handle this in a way where you feel that you have some control, you need a new one.

Also, at the end of the day, the family courts are biased against men. And women know that. Every woman that I know feared for me when I went through the divorce process precisely even they knew it was biased. Your ex-wife knows that no judge is gonna tear her up one side and down the other like they would you if the roles were reversed. She feels enabled and entitled, and, well, she is.

The officer is technically correct that HE himself can’t do anything. You and your lawyer can though. This is the perfect time to take the offensive. How I see it your soon to be ex has two strikes against her already going into court. False allegations and hiding the kids. Make sure court knows if you had done that there’d be hell to pay. That line works like a charm in court.

Like everyone else here said, get a temporary custody order filed with the court asap. She will need to be served the paperwork so there’s how you find out where she is.

What actions have you taken to fix this? Has your lawyer filed for Divorce and custody?

I'm going through that right now. Ex wife has kept my kid for over a month. Police say they can't get involved, contact courts, lawyers. Funny though if I miss only 1 child support payment to her, suddenly they are involved in arresting me. Guys are screwed and women take advantage of this through the system.
