I know people who regretted it and people who don't regret it one bit. I also know people who regretted not having a "bit of fun" in their early years.

At the end of the day, there isn't just one way to live life and it's not worth your time to worry about how others are living theirs. No one has a one-size-fits-all answer.

I think it depends on the reason behind the promiscuity. Having lots of sex with different people because of low self esteem, attachment/trust issues, self hatred, or addiction will lead to a very unfulfilling life and trauma.

Being emotionally stable and having casual sex because one enjoys it and has a healthy approach to it will not cause deep emotional damage.

People just need to learn to be self aware and make choices that are best for them regardless of what random ideologies determine to be the "right way" to live.

I get your point but I'd say you're projecting here.

Firstly, I don't think many people look at casual sex as their long term solution for life in general. Most people would typically settle down eventually either way, that's the norm, and when that happens in someone's life will vary radically. Some people will meet their wife while they're still a teenager. Some people will sleep around well into their 30s and still end up in a perfectly healthy, functional marriage with kids. Some people might never get married and be happy with that. Some people will have multiple partners at the same time such as those in polyamorous or open relationships, and for many people that works really well for them.

If we want to be critical of the advice that TRP gives about how people should form relationships, we would do well to not project our own ideas of how relationships should work onto other people. Promiscuity might not work for you, or even for most people, but it may well be the best solution for others, and we shouldn't be critical of people living how they like to live if it isn't harming others. It's perfectly possible to be promiscuous and be respectful of your partners, and of yourself, and to do it all in a healthy way.

And that's the key issue with TRP. I have no issue with men wanting to sleep around with multiple partners. I have no issue with men not wanting to stay in long term relationships. What I have an issue with is manipulation, misogyny, and treating (potential) partners like objects that only exist for one's own needs. TRP approach to relationships generally involves treating women - and other men - in horrible ways purely for your own gains. That's wrong. It's as simple as that.

It depends on the individual. It’s perfectly fine and healthy for some people, and not for others. It is up to you to know yourself and decide what is best for yourself. There’s nothing unhealthy about doing a fun and harmless activity such as sex.

There is no way that there can be one thing that is universally good or bad for every single individual . Every single individual is a different person. I know sooooo many healthy and happy women who are promiscuous.

I would agree promiscuity is not good to do for a long period time. Maybe for a few months to a year of doing some promiscuous shiz. Some people may have a few low-mid range promiscuous years (where they have that stage but do not go too wild) until they realize relationship sex is far safer, more emotionally bonding and more trusting than one night stands. Casual sex does help a person find their sexuality and tastes, and it does help them see the other side of the grass with perspective

Most people do indeed prefer monogamy. But, there is a sizable minority that honestly don't. I've known people that are in their 60s, never got married or into long term relationships, and are perfectly happy. I've known lots of married people who were miserable being married and much happier once they got divorced and started dating casually.

You shouldn't make up platitudes about what's going to make everyone happy.

People are at different stages, in different spaces. Casual sex can be incredibly healthy.

I am recently divorced, finding my feet emotionally, financially. I have my kids half the week. I adjusting to life after a marriage. The healthiest thing for me is to look after myself, rebuild my life, and for that I need space and time - and not have to navigate demanding intimate relationships while i do that. But do I want to live like a monk? No, I damn well don't - so I engage in casual sex and I am completly and utterly honest about my intentions with women from the very start. So tehre is no deception. And trust me there are many women in exactly the same sort of spaces. Casual sex can be extremely healthy. It probably can be unhealthy too. But don't have blanket ideas about these things. Sex positivity is underrated, we carry around shame, fear, disgust and that is entirely of our own making. Sex can be so many things to so many people.

It doesn't work for you, and it doesn't work for some other people as well. Others do and did just fine with it.

Some people have higher sex drives or whatnot. It's part of the tapestry of being human. The problem with redpill thinking and your thinking is that a person decides the think casual sex is unfulfilling for themselves, and therefore they decide this must to apply to everyone else's sex life as well.

There are absolutely people who have casual sex and then regret it. But, there are plenty of people who don't regret it as well and then go on to have fulfilling long-term or lifetime relationships.

As u/luridlurker said, don't worry about how other people live their lives. Sex isn't one-size-fits all (no pun intended).

Just compare it to food. When you are younger, you may be rather shallow or shortsighted in declaring your "favorite food." As you get older, and more sophisticated, you may develop far more sophisticated tastes and needs, and so now you have not just one most important singular favorite dish, but also a whole variety of very special food items as well.

I think your "spouse" should be that favorite dish. Just because it's your favorite and you come back to it more than the rest, there's no great reason to exist on bread alone.

I think you will be happiest if you find someone you genuinely love and are happy to be around who does not require that you live in a sexual prison in order to be their #1 person.

The reason is what matters. The reason why you do that.

There are many MGTOW who do not promote promiscuity for both men and women and say that it's better to be with as less partners as possible and settle with one good trustworthy individual.

But RP cons usually PUA's always promote the one-sided hypocrisy.

And no, not everyone can or will find someone to be with. That is just the reality of it. So, in that case, just find something that will make you happy on your own.
