What turned you away from the red pill?

Not sure if this is helpful or answers the question, but I never got into red pill because it just doesn’t align with the reality I see all around me in the real world. To be fair, I didn’t hear about TRP until I was already in my late 20s, so I was just able to look at the life experiences of all my friends, family, past and present coworkers, cohort members at school and understand “well this RP shit isn’t what healthy relationships are made of”.

My education is also in the social sciences so I had a better understanding of human relationships and attachment styles and how social factors/cultures/mental health can affect individual behavior. You just can’t put a whole gender in box. Humans don’t work like that.

Plus, the people creating the content are grifters with financial motivation. They’re not psychologists or professors with academic credentials to back up what they are saying. They’re feeding on young men’s insecurities without any proper education in the topics and that bothers me ethically. They’re influencers for young men basically, it’s just marketed differently.

I turned away, after looking at reality sometimes ..

For example You read that they will leave you for someone richer but how many family’s do you know that even if they are struggling they just keep going together ? This is just one of the examples, there are many more.

Also, something that Therapy usually teaches you is to identify why did it begin.. so I’ve thought about it and for me it began with my last serious relationship. When we broke up I suffered soooo much that I completely changed myself, my mother always repeated that I was a cold person.. after like 6/7 years I can finally see that the problem was not me but that she was super toxic.. so I kinda just need to work to be whoever I was before, that kind and friendly guy, I was happy and very social, I had a lot of friends and some girls. I lost all to redpill. The only thing there that I think it’s good it’s the part where you should work on yourself and improve, as it helps in every aspect of your life, gym, food wtv it might be, but nothing more.

That information is such crap it’s totally laughable. None of the men I have dated came anywhere near that income and the only reason we broke up was a. Moving to another country, b. Well the one guy was just terrible and abusive, and c. The last ex was wonderful over all but just didn’t want kids and I thought I wanted to try it so we had to part ways.

Goodness gracious I’m so so sorry that all the bs is out there, it’s all just stupid guys lying to you and profiting off you feeling insecure. Seriously, like Andrew Tare was making tons of money convincing younger dudes to pay him for some dumb course that really just served to make him famous and did nothing to actually help the young dudes succeed.

It’s literally TRAGIC that this is happening to a whole generation of young men. Goodness. $100,000 is an insane amount of money for my city, hahaha, I make half that and have one house and a second fixer upper project!

What turned me off is their refusal to acknowledge that most issues that men face are created by other men. Male suicide rates and homicide rates are high because our hyper masculine culture does not as allow men to be vulnerable. Another example I can think of is that most male SA victims are victims of other men. But red pillers/MRA'S don't accept this and just blame all women and feminists for their problems

Don't you think women were forced into that role? It's unfair to say that it's natural when women had no agency over their lives for centuries. We couldn't own land or property, we couldn't get an education, we couldn't hold higher paying positions, we couldn't open bank accounts or build credit, and we couldn't vote. Women literally could not function in society without a man. So then doesn't it make sense that this notion of needing a smart, dependable man has been so instilled in women? Our survival depended on it. It's still drilled into women, but the narrative is shifting. Sure, there are still women that want a man to support them, but more and more women are becoming completely independent from men and are just looking for equal partners.

A lot of this cult stuff works, because people never want to think critically on it.

A great example is listed in this post. "The cult says you need to be X to be a high value man," and "your woman will leave you for y reasons, because the cult says so."

People rarely think-critically on why the cult believes those things, or how they come to those conclusions. They just say it, and people blindly believe it.

I can already tell ya, I know quite a few men who don't make 100,000k a year who have been happily married for 30+ years. So why would I believe some random ass cult logic? Because they said so? Who died and make them king?

People believe so much random bullshit these days without ever even trying to verify why they believe it.

I was never really into it, but things like you've said in your post would have put me off, like, I look around at my friends in their 30s and none of them are millionaires and a lot of them are in solid long term relationships. TRP guys will tell you that the girls are all secretly cheating but occam's razor applies, so I'll believe the evidence of my own eyes over some guy who wants to sell me a course any day

I think a lot of TRP dudes have been burnt by BPD/Narc women. I think what's helpful is realising narcissism exists in both genders and for as many men that have been burnt, many women have too. Sometimes women have it worse - imagine getting pregnant and being abandoned by a narc and then the entire Internet is shaming you for being a single mother and not choosing better...I feel sorry for victims everywhere.

I'm glad you have enough morality in you to have baulked at the idea of "dread" game. I guess being a vicitm of manipulation and abuse yourself has made you detest perpetrating that on someone else. Good for you - end that cycle of abuse.

Impact that redpill ideas had on my mental state and growing resentment towards women. Even moderate and "reasonable" redpill content tend to feed my insecurities. I noticed that I had less motivation to talk to women and my self esteem was lower than usual. Since I dropped it, I have better attitude and dont have any related problems.

In that sense, IMO redpill is self fulfuling prophecy.

Also I really recommend watching Authentic Observer's videos about Andrew Tate and Rollo Tomassi. Long af, but its worth it

According to data, low-income marriages have a 40% divorce date, 100K has a 35% divorce rate, 200K has 30%, and 1 million has 25%. The wealthy do get divorced less but I'm not sure whether its because the man earns more, or because wealthy people are just better at marriage and functioning as adults. And the difference in divorce isn't nearly as large as this redpill guys is claiming.

I turned away after realizing how hollow my goals had become because of it, and that it wasn't particularly fulfilling as it appears on the surface. I mainly wanted to survive long enough to see some people suffer, have and make my money, and reconnect with an old crush and over the span of 4 years, the day came when all of those things were fulfilled.

I felt awful, because despite my resentment, I was angry at those people because I cared about them and felt betrayed. Their suffering wasn't going to suddenly make me happy, internally I realized that I needed to let what they did go.

I had my money now, but as long as I kept up with this anti-matrix mentality, I'd never move up. I'd only be exploited for throwing so much overtime into my workplace.

And meeting my crush again really made me return to a lot of my previous thinking, but actually applying the morals and beliefs I didn't have the confidence to act out. Turns out she's not quite as great person as I had thought and I cut ties with her.

It finally sealed the deal to me that the Redpill, and what it advocates for is sort of artificial and self deterministic. There are simply things you can't control, like people. No amount of power will let you control your entire life and your environment, that's why Tate got arrested to begin with.

I saw that it didn’t align at all with my moral values. The foundations of the movement appear to based in resentment, hate and anger. Also red pillers in general seem so unhappy always with a chip on their shoulder

You are looking very deep into that pill thats the problem, but the basics of the R pill are accurate, I mean, you can read a book that was written like 120 years ago by a guy named Charles Darwin and you will still find similarities.. I understand that the Rpill community is toxic, sure, but it´s simple biology my guys, we all know nature is real and it is cruel sometimes. That doesnt mean your wife will leave you for a better dude, relax just aquire the knowledge and make good use out of it, its supposed to make you wiser about nature and human behaviour not make you insecure... you are looking very deep into that pill for sure and now you are confused.
