To clarify my question, I am referring to the use of social media and dating apps such as Tinder in order to meet and attract a potential partner.

With increasingly both men and women having unrealistic expectations through usage of social media and dating apps, as well as neither gender being willing to approach others in real life, will most of us turn to online methods of meeting a partner?

If so, standards may become unrealistically high, with men and women only wanting to meet the most attractive and successful people and most of the "low-value" individuals struggling to even find a date. Is this the future of dating when more and more people are unwilling to even talk to meet each other in person?
