In a world where social media exists, there seems to be a growing level of disrespect from entrepreneurs and influencers (especially RP/Self-Improvement Gurus) towards the idea of working at a 9-5 or working under another person. According to these people, being a successful entrepreneur is the only way to be financially stable and to be seen as responsible, disciplined and intelligent.

They often elaborate that many women these days won't settle for any man who makes less than 100k a year, or who does a 9-5 or other forms of traditional work.

As someone who has never previously shown interest in running my own company or studying business, this makes me feel very insecure about my choices in life relating to my career. Although I'm shortlisted for a healthcare job that'll make me nearly $50k a year, it still doesn't feel like quite enough.

I've been levelling up my fitness and social life, but I can't think of how to do the same to my career and finances. Would becoming an entrepreneur help, or should I stick to my current 9-5?
