Lol I just got rid of my hobosexual ex. When I asked him to help out with more housework because I was overwhelmed he said “if I’m not here you’d have to do it anyway”.

Well, if you’re not here I wouldn’t have to subsidise anyone rent and groceries.

I never took the red flags seriously, this guy had a track record of moving in with women as soon as they offer because he never had a place of his own.

I remember way back when (maybe 15yrs ago) when some dude tried to do that to me. He started leaving shoes, CDs in my apartment and always wanted to shower and sleep. One day, he purposely left the light on in his car overnight (winter) so his car battery would die and he’d have to spend the day. My intuition told me kick him to the curb. Found out many months the later from another woman he was a hobosexual. Smh.

It happened to me too with my rebound ffs. I was too distracted with my new job and terminally sick dad. A month after the funeral I found the headspace to ask him grocery and utility money. He was living with me for 6 months at that time and only went home 2 night in total to his moms that period. I even brought him with me to my solo vacations because I felt selfish going alone and he almost didn’t chip in with anything.

When I asked him for 400 euros a month for rent, groceries and utilities (I pay 1400 a month for that), he did it begrudgingly for two months. It felt fair to ask him since I work and commute 50 hours a week and he only worked 20 hours (walking distance from my house instead 40 min commute from his) and was bumming around in my apartment more than I was. Taking really long showers and eating all my food.

Then he had a crisis and didn’t really know what he wanted in his life and was unsure and needed time to figure it out. He wanted to do the figuring out in my apartment tho and I had the feeling no rent would be involved.

I kicked him out and went on our Valentine’s City trip alone. Best decision ever.

Oh god this reminds me of my ex.

It wasn't that he didn't have his own place per se, but some minor damage happened to it (long story) where cabinets needed to be re-done and hardwood floors installed. This part seemed reasonable enough

Him: "I was hoping I could crash at your place, I need somewhere to stay until the work gets done"

Me: "How long?"

Him" About 2, 3 months"

For cabinets, and floors? I had work done just like that before and I only had to be out of the house a week, max. I let him stay over one weekend but after that the answer was no. He was really sore about it. We weren't far enough in the relationship where I was comfortable moving in together. It was way too much too fast.

The icing on the cake was that he lied- or at least, misrepresented the truth. He really wanted somewhere for 6 months. I know this because he ended up staying at his friends' for that long and was guilt tripping me like crazy for not letting him stay at my place. To this day I don't know why the work took that long.

This happened to me. I live on my own in a nice apartment. I was dating a 30 year old dude who literally lived in his mom's basement. He stayed at my place for most of the week and talked all the time about how nice my place was, how he could concentrate on work better, felt more at peace. And he knew it was because his alternative was a dingy windowless basement, and yet it never motivated him to get out of the basement. He could just leech off of me.

It's not like this exactly, but this does remind me of my brother.

He still lives at home with us, and we are in a very tiny apartment. He leaves his trash everywhere, doesn't help around the house. Constantly berating our mother, slamming doors, or his fists on cookie trays because he's upset. (And somehow it's ALWAYS our mother's fault.) And not too long ago, he moved his girlfriend in with us. There is no room and our mother even told him not to. But guess what? He went ahead and did it. This apartment is so small, that our mother sleeps on the couch. And him and his girlfriend had sex on her couch! He's the biggest baby I know, and it drives me mad. I am in the process of moving out and can't WAIT to get out of there. He has no future planned, and is the king off all NVM.

Sorry for the rant here. I am just angry and needed to let it out.
