Chances are he's the one trying to get back with the ex-wife and she's saying no (because he's actually broke and she doesn't tolerate his old flakiness-so in his mind she has 'changed'). He already has 2 kids and will likely say he doesn't want anymore kids ( is she willing to sacrifice that?). What if someone else 'better' comes along or they decide to try make it work for the kids. After treating someone like they are rubbish like that and they still take you back, will without a doubt make him lose any bit of respect he might have for her. I hope that if the new relationship fails she doesn't run back to him. This is why I always block exes or I never memorize their number so I never get tempted and I delete it immediately.

I was just thinking after 6 months he might be h***y, scrolling through his phone, saw her name and was like yeah I better shoot my shot and see if she's dumb enough to believe me. After 4 years of marriage he probably doesn't have any other numbers of women who would be willing to have sex without serious effort. Also he just divorced his wife how long till he is ready to get married again, she's likely ready for that now.

You know what gets me aside from the obvious shit? Her last paragraph... how it sounds like if she didn't have this seeminly new guy (although one date don't count) in her life, then her ex would be a viable option? Like what was the point of that last piece... that if she didn't have this new guy then her ex would get a chance because the overall point is any man is better than no man? I cannot.
