I had been dating this guy for 2-3 months.

To cut a long story short there were a number of things that were making me wary of committing, experimenting with drugs (obviously I expressed concern about this) and bad communication. He would stonewall me and then act as if I was unreasonable and crazy for being upset and frustrated.

Anyway, one of the things that really irked him was that during the first 6 weeks, I was dating around. As in, talking to people and going for drinks. That’s it. I told him he should probably do the same as it was very early days. Even though at the time he didn’t seem too bothered, when he found out for a fact I had been on two dates, he got really annoyed. After we worked it out (I am a reasonable person) he dragged it up again a few weeks later even though I had agreed to stop if it meant that much to him. He said it showed that I didn’t like him that much. If I was 24 I may have agreed but I’m 34 and don’t have any time to waste!!!

This happened about a month ago and has accumulated in the following text sent to me this weekend ‘why did you have to go on other fucking dates and be such a cnt about it’ 😑😑😑

Is it normal for men to want to be exclusive from date 1 or 2? We are in our 30s. I am bewildered.
