LVM exist in any work field. They could be a cashier, retail worker, lawyer, policeman and a doctor. Anything.

Well first off, Stop trying to live vicariously through men. This is why FDS stresses that women become high value to themselves. It’s not the olden days where all your value as a woman was determined by how well you married; Women can create their own value now.

And certain “status” jobs don’t mean anything if the men are ugly or have small dick energy or are terrible human beings, they’re still going to struggle with women. So don’t assume his job makes him untouchable to someone who is not as educated or well connected.

If you’re determined to get a man of a certain social class, then you need to work to integrate yourself into that circle. You’ll find out very quickly if it’s worth the effort and energy to remake yourself to fit in with that group. You’ll have to look the part and dress the part, which may mean you become some variation of a stepford wife. Is it worth it to you? You decide. It’s like applying for a career field you’ve never worked in. You may like it and be motivated to work hard for it, or you may find out it’s not all it’s cracked up to be and be happier somewhere where you will be accepted as you are.

Not all high status men are HVM... many compensate big character flaws with their status and money.

But all HMV are at least medium status men (like at least they have decent job with decent career prospects, generous etc)

I can not take seriously for a relationship a college or high school dropouut still unemployed or working in a fast food especially if he is 30+. He would not be a reliable provider and good role model. I study hard and work hard for my career, I expect my partner to be dedicated as well.

I’ve had 3 LVMs with high status jobs. Doctor, lawyer & financial advisor. My last ex made over 300K a year and was the single most disturbed, controlling and abusive man I have ever had the misfortune of knowing. To him money=power and power was more important than love, integrity or any relationship. Other people (women especially) are something to be used for his own ends. There is no amount of money on earth worth being with someone who abuses you. I used to tell him I’d rather be with a Walmart greeter who had integrity and treated me well...

Having lived through it—this forum is full of excellent advice. These guys had red flags galore & if I had known about FDS prior to them, I would have weeded them out a lot faster. I do so very quickly now.

There's balance in everything. Often hyper ambitious men, commonly workaholic business owners, have a self esteem issue which means they are constantly trying to prove themselves and that need can never be satisfied. Avoid.

Friends who have married men like that regret it. One is divorcing right now after she couldn't put up with his affairs anymore. He spent most of his time flying to other parts of the world for business, so I don't think she'll miss him.

If a guy starts mistreating you, walk away. No amount of money is worth being treated badly. Focus on getting your own money, your own goals and making your own worth.

I would love to see some comments elaborating on this and how to spot a lvm as a high-status man. I had a similar situation with my ex and I wouldn’t want to stumble upon a perceived hvm and then years later find out that he’s a piece of crap.

Well let's be honest here - a man who earns a ton of money and works in a high status job is more likely to be an LVM than not.

I have yet to meet a man in a suit with some inscrutable 'financial career' that isn't a total douchebag.

Those are not 'high-value men' - those are 'grab em by the pussy' men and not to be encouraged.

Real HVMs are more likely to be found on a construction site than in a law firm....

Look at Donald Trump versus Barack Obama.

Both men are obviously high-status, but Trump is a LVM and Obama is a HVM.

I was miraculously sheltered from this opinion growing up, and as a result I am not interested in men with high status. It just isn't how a gauge men's dateability. So my advice is to stop propogating the idea that high status is a valuable trait in a man.

I personally think men with high status jobs are as likely to be LV as men with no ambition. They are two extremes and both have shitty self esteem just one masks it by overcompensating with wealth and status and the other gives up trying. Many characteristics that help in business like ruthlessness, determination, self interest are also narcissistic traits. My personal opinion is that "average status" men e.g. Working blue collar or middle class, are most likely to be HVM as they have a more well rounded, balanced personality.

It depends on his character, but I rather have a man with ambition. One does not exclude the other, I've met amazing men in the tough fields. Right now I'm dating a law student and he's as HV as they come. Kind, generous, respectful, smart and a true gentleman. Stereotypes could make you lose a good prospect.
