The problem is a young man can seem ambitious from his passion for something, but while young women might view volunteering or getting little gigs or working on something for 2 months and selling it for $100 as ambitious/hustling/working his way up.. us older women view that as being like a kid who would play their favourite game forever, for free. Some weak ass men will bend over backwards for their passion and seem sooo driven, but proof is in the pudding and it usually just does not achieve anything. These types will often sacrifice a stable job and can often be heard saying having a nice home and any level of security is materialistic and unimportant. It's rare that they will be highly responsible, pay their bills, make you feel loved and then pursue that passion with that bit of time left. Artistic types expect to be able to spend large chunks of time on it, and its usually pretty damn self indulgent.

I have just been there and done that. I thought it was a good quality when I was young and now I view it as off putting, immature and a red flag quite frankly.
