So, while lurking here I noticed a comment about how one of the reasons a man may not make the first move is being respectful and not wanting to be a creep.

This made me think about something I heard in school(Before the pandemic). I heard a dude saying he would not initiate because a feminist activist in our country said that approaching can be seen as harassment. He also said that he heard girls in our class saying that getting approached by guys can be a horrible experience, and that he didn't want to be seen as a creep.

So, is not approaching/making the first move such a red flag even if it is for these reasons?
