On online dating apps, I come across a staggering amount of men who could be much more attractive if they put just a bit of effort into their looks. It often boils down to basic things that could easily be changed with less than an hour a week and a couple dollars: good haircut, proper beard care, fashionable glasses, well fitting clothes, a skincare routine, dental work, etc. But no, these men don't want to put in the effort. They just want to complain about their boohoo no matches.

God this hits hard. I had EDs from 13-27 just to date out of shape gaming addicts who had the EQ of a melon. How do we live in a society where we think this is acceptable.

It’s so crazy to me how normal it is for men to do the bare minimum in terms of their appearance and expect women to always look and dress to the nines.

I always look flawless and amazing because that’s who I am and love to be, but the amount of dates I’ve been on with men who look like they don’t deserve me is astounding. I’ll have my makeup and hair done with heels on and a beautiful dress on and a guy will be wearing khaki pants a t-shirt and some sneakers. Many of them tell me I look beautiful at one point into the date and in my head just like “thanks, wish I could say the same for you.”

I started suffering from body dysmorphia in my last relationship and I could literally skip eating the entire day just to maintain the skinny appearance. Everyone around me thought I was just sick because I looked malnourished but my ex had the audacity to call me fat. Wonder why I became so insecure about my body, hmm. I still haven't recovered from it :(

Also The fucking unraveling beard just looks like it would stink.Men with long unruly beards refuse to acknowledge that most women don't dig it. Still they persist on thier scraggly beard because other dudes have a knarly beard as well and they think they look tough..ugggg yuck
