As women, we STRUGGLE so hard with projecting our good qualities onto men and falling in love with men who are nowhere near what our fantasies portray them as. We tend to treat men way better than they deserve.

Men also project their own qualities - onto us. Then they despise us for their own faults and see us as way worse than we are. Men tend to treat us way worse than we deserve.

Maybe this is old hat to everyone else, but it blew my mind when I thought about it in those terms.
