Once a man has crossed a boundary you set, that thing will happen again if you take him back. Whether it's cheating, stealing from you, hitting you - if he does it once and you stay, or leave and come back, it will happen again to you.

I have a friend whose boyfriend had restrained her during an argument after two years of dating. She said she was done, and I explained that if she ever goes back, it will happen again. She just took him back, and I’m heartsick for her, because I know with absolute certainty he'll only escalate.
