There’s a guy at my work that constantly talks about the “subtle art of not giving a Fuck” book like it’s some holy grail of wisdom.

Spoiler alert: it isn’t. Just a handbook written by a man child for man children.

I’ve never had good experiences with men like this. There’s a difference between words and action. Quotes are good, but if it’s not a conversation, trust your gut.

Yes I feel this! I’ve personally experienced it with men who are into self improvement and spiritually. It inflates their ego insufferably. They feel like philosopher, using the words of wiser people who probably also had an inflated ego.

They want to be impressive. They aren’t excited to know a woman can keep up with their “oh so enlightened state of being”

If you do end up with one, every rational criticism you have of their behavior is met with YOU not being in the high and enlightened plain they are on. You are flooded with negativity. They can’t be infected with your low and Inferior emotional intelligence. They will use it to abuse and gaslight.

The worst are men who repeatedly do psychedelics. (Source: I’m a professional in the holistic community) It’s hard to say/understand that, because psychedelics changed me and many I know for the better. I dare say they formed my mind as I am today.

However, people with NPD & BPD (in my experience, not a study, just MANY real life examples) experience psychedelics differently and can handle higher doses without being spiritually humbled. The ego is inflamed. The seem to become more hedonistic and feelings of superiority flood everyday interactions, especially in romantic relationships. Que the “I think I could be a shaman” omg if I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard this.

I know that went left, but yea… woke bros neg because they feel superior. They want us to feel disarmed and safe while they steamroll, in a very spiritual and woke way, of course.

First thing to remember is that you don’t owe these guys anything, not even a reaction. Ironically what would attract them most is if you negged their quote lol. But if you feel like it’s getting to a point where the conversation is circling the drain like this and they still haven’t asked you out on a date: block and delete!

If they’re not taking the initiative to ask you out on a date (which is the whole point of OLD) then you need to guard your boundaries and delete them because there’s nothing these scrotes are better at than wasting a woman’s time.

It’s truly hilarious to see a guy’s reaction when they realize that you’re not just at but far above their level, when they were just trying to get some P by seeming so wise and otherworldly. They get so curt and immediately try to move the conversation along when you don’t fawn over their words.

I'll take a simple minded country boy any day over this. Yikes. It also must be regional and urban problem. In small towns and provincial cities I think we just mostly deal with garden variety misogynists, they're easily spotted and therefore avoidable for the most part. I've only ever encountered these guys online and found them to be particularly cringe.

This absolutely is a thing. The downside is sometimes that wokness is actually a representation of a god complex.

I dated a guy who wanted to be a guru or something and would wake up at all hours of the night to write up his insightful thinking.

Go ahead and take a guess that what his living conditions are like. It always amazes me when people wanna lead other people‘s lives before they get their own lives together. It’s offensive.

I’ve stopped engaging and listening to men who claim to be “woke” “spiritual” and participate in “no fap” so they can get super powers. Most that I’ve come across hate women and claim women are low value and as a woman she needs a strong spiritual man to lead her and all that jazz. It’s baffling but I’m not surprised. I was deep into spirituality a couple years ago but that is behind me now, it made me constantly paranoid, the whole “woke, spiritual” trend mostly comes across as disingenuous and promotes toxic lifestyles imo and sometimes have led me to a gateway of conspiracy theories and stuff that destroyed my thinking feeling as though people were out to get me
