I’m short so with my favorite high heels on date night I’m about 5’6 or 5’7” (3-4 inch heels).

It’s shocking how many men I meet that claim to be at minimum 5’8” come out to be exactly my height with heels on. One guy told me he was 5’10” and I was actually taller than him with those heels on. I gave him a hug, realized I was looking over his head, then just went home.

Being a short man isn’t the issue. Being an insecure liar is. Insecure men are dangerous and deadly.

Yeah I am 6ft tall, so I have men telling me they are 6'3, 6'4, and they are exactly my height. I guess they assume that whatever woman they are with will actually be shorter, so it doesnt matter what height they are?? Idk.

I am 5’7” and don’t want to date men shorter than me.

Went out with a guy once who claimed he was my height. I was on the fence about it, but the connection seemed great and he was otherwise very attractive. Dude was not a hair above 5’5”. I could see over his head. I don’t understand the deception. It’s everyone’s prerogative to have standards. Do guys who are short or secretly have kids think they can charm me into not caring once the truth inevitably comes out?

At this point, I just mentally subtract 2 inches from dudes’ heights on OLD and assume that’s what I’m working with until proven otherwise.

They lie because they know that anyone similar to their height will swipe left on them (or equivalent) and they think they know more about us and our standards than we do. So, they lie that they’re taller to get into our feed, and think they can win us over with their charming personality.

OMG, I can’t stand that shit.

I’m 5’8” which isn’t even super tall, but I’ve had lots of guys I met through OLD claim to be like 5’11” or 6 ft and then get upset when they meet me IRL and we’re the same height. And then they complain about me being “too tall.”

My last ex was 5’6” though and he never once mentioned my height throughout our whole relationship. It was awesome, although he had other issues which is why we broke up.

I can’t stand insecure guys.

I'm 5'3". You'd think short dudes would be willing to accept dating short women, but many of them must think short women are "low value" or something. If a guy goes after a woman who's tall, what would make a guy think he can fool her about his height?
My long time ex was almost 6', but a guy has to be really short for me to notice that he's "short".

I’m 5’1 so men ALWAYS think I won’t notice. My exes have been 6’3, 5’11, and 6’2. My best male friend is 6’2.

I’m not going to lie, I’m primarily attracted guys who are 6 feet and above. I can’t help it. It probably makes dating more difficult, but it’s what I like! I live in a metropolitan area though so there’s no shortage of tall men. Dudes in the 5’8-5’11 range ALWAYS LIE.

I’ve gone out with a guy who’s profile says 6 feet. I noticed immediately that he was more like 5’10. I asked him casually how tall he is and he says “oh 5’11 and a half. I’m SO close to that 6 feet though”. Then starts trying to reason with me, not knowing the heights of my exes, that it doesn’t make sense for me to date someone above 6 feet.

Men always try to argue that if I’m able to filter men based their height that they should be able to filter women based on weight. I’m a dress size 4 and when I offer for them to guess my weight most men are still off by 10-30lbs. Weight means virtually nothing 🙄

Reason number 992388282 I stopped OLD. I think nearly every man I went out with from an app lied about his height lol.

The only one who didn’t (was actually 6’1) was also the only one I ever went on a second date with and eventually had sex with haha.

Liars never win.
