I met a man last October and right away there was intense chemistry and attraction. He was so attentive, brought me flowers on several occasions, paid for meals/drinks. He has a good career and is extremely handsome. We had sex after 10 days of meeting (I knew I shouldn't but he was so wonderful). The next morning he told me he loves me! I said "how do you know this so soon?" He said he just does. I didn't tell him I love him back because I didn't. About a week after that he started to back off. He progressively became more avoidant and I found myself chasing him. I was aware and didn't like it at all so I stopped doing it. After 2 months of meeting I asked him to give me closure and he did. He said he's trying to get a job in another city and it's really bad timing. Ugh! I deleted everything about him from my phone and began healing. I was distraught but eventually I was not thinking about him constantly. I got over him. Then last week he texted me! Wants to see me. He didn't get a new job so wasnt moving. We went out Friday night. He brought me flowers and paid for everything. It was instant attraction again! I wanted to see him really just to tell him off but I fell right back into it. I told him how he hurt me and he apologized. He said that I scare him. What does that mean?? Anyway...he spent the night and it was amazing. He was so loving and affectionate. My feelings for him are right back to where they were when we started. Shit! Now...he's avoiding me again! I know he has attachment issues. So do I but I've spent so much time working on myself. And I'm mostly proud of myself in how I'm dealing with this. I deleted him from my phone again. I'm refusing to chase him. But ouch! WTF! I have 3 men right now that if I gave the word they would be happy to be in a relationship with me. But I don't want them. They are stable, reliable, attentive, attractive men. They know me and love me. So why the fuck do I want the man who avoids me? I feel like I'm in crazy world right now. If anyone has any insight I would love to hear it.
