What's a good view on it?

Personally, my hair is short. I style it and wear makeup when I go outside, but not so much when I'm inside. I'm not horribly concerned about being thin like I used to be. I don't really have the time or patience for "girly" things - because I'm an adult woman.

But I just discovered r/justlegbeardthings. Apparently, not performing femininity is a huge breach of social contract for men.

What I have trouble dealing with is this: men who say they "deserve" beautiful women A. Very rarely offer much in terms of love or commitment, and B. Are the types who will cheat anyway.

I've noticed a lot of them are anti-feminists. And yet, they aren't traditional. They demand hot, thin, and young, but they pump and dump, and they don't talk about how men should provide for their hot, thin, young wives who shouldn't be making more money than them, etc.

Women, as a collective, simply will never stop fighting to afford basic human dignity, and we survive quite well on our own, when we have our own terms laid out, and can truly enforce our own boundaries.

What I want to understand is, what about not performing femininity will actually hurt a woman in the long run, rather than even aid her in avoiding men who think the amount of hair on a woman's legs is more important than her qualities as a genuine counterpart?

I get that focusing on looks will earn a woman a man more than almost anything else about her, but unless you're in a social circle where the men simply don't divorce, respect women, and work hard, it's all such a waste, when not a superfluous and course-changing distraction.
