In a way I almost pity this brand of Pickmesha, the Red Pill Woman/"traditional" type, because I think it's a weird reaction to liberal feminism. Like all of a sudden there's these women telling them to not have relationships and instead just have tons of casual sex, when they've spent their whole lives fantasizing about being a wife and mother. They're on the defensive because they think someone is coming for their dream life. And let's be real, the libfem bashing of homemakers or SAHMs is disgusting. Queens don't bring other queens down regardless of lifestyle differences, also that's my grandmother you're talking about so STFU.

I'm not defending them, I just... I can understand the psychology.

What I definitely can't defend is the logic jump from "I don't agree with the libfem notion that I should just have tons of casual sex and not invest in finding an LTR" to "I better go ahead and get on my Handmaid's Tale shit." Bad shit in society doesn't justify you becoming a different type of extremist.

Traditional marriages work if both partners are on the same page. So you have a woman who wants to be a supportive spouse and a husband who understands 1000000000% that having a spouse at home who takes care of everything obligates him to go out and earn the money and take care of shit knowing they only have a home and kids because they have a wife. The problems come in when shitbum men like the idea of a woman doing everything at home and also being a high earner while he plays online 12 hours a day and isn’t quite sure how his dirty underwear make it off the floor.

I don’t care what women do with their skiddlyboops so I won’t comment on that. I don’t care if a woman is a SAHM provided she has taken care of her interests. Too many men don’t seem to feel that much gratitude after the kids have been raised and they’re hitting that midlife crisis.

I’m honestly confused at so many other subs (at least a few would consider pretty extreme compared to FDS in their viewpoints) posting screenshots from our page, or cherry picking some comment or paragraph out of context to use an excuse to shit all over the women here

I won’t say I agree with everything posted by everyone who posts here on this sub, but welcome to the Internet? There are different levels of crazy everywhere and I’m a lot more horrified about things I’ve seen on other dating subs honestly, geared towards dishonesty, manipulation, and just going backwards on the scale of women’s rights and the definition of consent. I don’t think all men are the problem or all women are perfect but what’s happening right now is scary and men are more or less safe even if they aren’t happy. Women are not.

I got into some argument last week with some guy who’s post history was not at all Incel who had trouble on dating apps and had a “great idea” that we should be forced to date men, even if we didn’t like the guy. That way we couldn’t make snap judgements on someone like a swipe, we would be forced to get to know him- I was the only one calling him out like do you even read what you’re writing? We don’t want to be forced? He seemed convinced that I was stuck on the word forced and could not accept why the idea itself was offensive.

Halfway through the convo I go to walk my dog and have this crazy dude I don’t know (but have seen him with my neighbors) follow me 2 blocks screaming at me to stop being a stuck up bitch and hang out with him (yeah that’s going to be a fuck no from me bro) which I bring up in the thread- women have to deal with this stuff not only on the internet but in real life! Men do not. My example fell on deaf ears.

Two weeks ago I replied to a thread where a man had gone to a woman’s workplace and given her his number. She looked visibly uncomfortable according to him, and did not call. He was wondering if he should continue to go to her workplace while she was there and pursue her more aggressively. Do women look uncomfortable as a sign on interest? I was heavily downvoted for suggesting he leave her alone.

I see this shit every day. Across so many subs it is frightening. I could give you a nauseating number of examples. I don’t comment on most of them. It makes me sad and angry to think that women having a place to discuss this is so offensive but all these other really offensive things (that are actually fucked up comparatively to ‘holy shit, women think a guy should pay for a date!’) just fall by the wayside or are encouraged.

Edit- just for the record I was reading this thread and clicked on some of the other subs mentioned, in less than an hour I saw this thread either reposted, referenced, quoted from and hated on in at 5 subreddits. By the time I made it back here I just didn’t understand why we or this is what was controversial.

Their judgement towards other women is the worst, thinking a girl doesn’t deserve a happy relationship for having casual sex time ago or dressing slutty.

At the time they are 50, they will end up with no female friends and a cheating husband because of thinking everything he does is right and forgiving him endless times. I really hope they get better someday.

I don't like what feminism has evolved into. The whole point was to recognize that women are as capable and can do whatever it is they choose instead of being expected to stay within the confines of a gender role.

Whether a woman wants to be a stay at home mom, or get her PhD and practice medicine, that's fine. Whether she likes it when a man opens the car door or prefers to do it herself that's fine. Whether a woman feels safer when her man is home or is a black belt with gun permit and fears no one, that's fine.

Shaming women because they do what they want to do instead of what they're expected to do is the entire reason feminism was needed to begin with.

When Im on a date with a guy who proclaims he's a feminist, I know that's it. Cause most of the time it means hes going to use it as an excuse to never have to do anything and be lower than low effort. That's the guy who will walk through a door before you and darn near let it slam your face cause you can hold your own door. They won't even treat you with basic courtesy, citing feminism.

Now, there are guys who actually believe women aren't helpless and are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, but also still enjoys doing things for a woman because he wants to. But a guy who feels it necessary to proclaim he's a feminist and/or makes a point to bring up how much he enjoys feminism is doing it to make sure you know he had no plans to put any effort into you. And they love women who agree with that.

I’m very open to talk about this, feel free to respond if you agree or disagree with me. I won’t get into the feminism part of this. That’s a whole another can of worms

But I don’t think I could ever imagine treating my boyfriend like he’s below me or something. We’re in a relationship that’s 50/50, and sometime he falls down and I have to pick up some slack and sometimes I fall down and he has to pick up the slack. He obeys me and I obey him, within reason of course, I’m not going to ask him to jump off a bridge or run naked across the neighborhood and visa versa.

When he got out of surgery for his gallbladder being removed I sat and stayed with him any moment I could. Helped him, got him anything he asked for. I recently was in a car wreck and lost the function of my right leg for the next 3-6 months and he’s treating me the exact same way I treated him. Sure losing your right leg is more severe than losing your gallbladder. He was up and running 6 weeks later but you get what you give in a healthy relationship.

I had to fight for him to be vulnerable in front of me when he had his gallbladder removed and every time I ask him why he helps all them time he tells me he wants me to feel as special and wanted as I made him feel when he had his gallbladder removed.

I couldn’t imagine just treating him as as a “means to an end” for lack of a better word. I don’t understand why anyone would want to treat their partner or potential partner that way. I’m open to hear your viewpoints if you agree or disagree.
