To all the ladies whose having a hard time to ignore, let me tell you that you need to get a hold of your damn self. I know you are burning in anger and are passionate about showing him a lesson, hoping that he sees his mistakes. Wanting to hurt him like how he hurt you.

Newsflash: He fucking won't, all that effort of thinking up the proper words to tell him will just fuel his ego because he knew at that moment, he got under your skin, deep into your bones, and he loved that. After that, you'll go back and forth until you used up all your energy when you could've done something productive because you can't discipline your nerves; setting yourself up for a downward spiral of self-hate every second you interact with him.

And again, if you ever did send him a message in the name of just "burning" or something pathetic along those lines, you will just end up bitch slapping yourself by doing that! And you shouldn't hurt yourself. I assure you that you won't feel vindicated, unless you ignore those tempting messages akin to that fudge you've been wanting to eat before your cheat day, where you'll just feel like shit for giving in.

The best way really is to ignore it. You might whine about it now but I assure you that you'll thank your past self for being strong enoung not to cave in, and with that comes with essential growth into trusting yourself.

My NVM ex boyfriend asked if we could still be friends after we broke up because I was the best friendship he ever had before we started dating. My LVM ex fiancé wanted to stay friends after he broke things off (and told me he should never have proposed and never wanted to) because he wanted to still be the good guy. Spoiler alert - he was not a good guy. I blocked him and I never looked back. I consider myself a nice person, but for my mental health, he needed to be blocked. Ladies - protect YOU first and foremost.

I always got the sense that they'll use it as justification to double down on being shitty, or feel righteous. A man who acts like that is empty to begin with and the energy it takes to call them out is not worth it. You are a stranger to these men and they don't care about your opinion. It is not your job to point out how they're fucking up, especially since you need that energy to take care of yourself.

Oh how I wish I could send this to a dear friend of mine. Her ex recently contacted her and wanted to apologise for his past actions. Not a bad thing, right? Well he vaguely apologized and didn't really own up to his actions. I told her that if I were her, I would cut off communication. It sounded like he only apologized to get back in her good graces. Her excuse, however, was that she believes that he's someone different deep down. That his actions didn't reflect that. All I could say was that he's made it clear what kind of man he is.

Getting mad at them via a text or showing them like that doesn’t do anything. Have you noticed men only respond when they’re being publicly shamed for their behavior?

Ladies if you want men to change, shame their behavior in front of their family and friends and peers. Take screenshots and send them to his family and friends if you can and/or post on social media.

If it’s in public, call them out in front of others.
